  1. Does anyone run this or should I get a P90 head for a Cam kit?
  2. If you have a Microtech you should buy some bigger injectors for your setup that way you won't stress the factory ones...I think the Supra 440cc is a common upgrade....or JWT sells some 555cc NISMO's. Not sure you will find a wideband O2 for $150...I am using the Innovate wideband and it is great. Good luck:icon32:
  3. An 81 get it's signal from the main pulley I believe...I'd check that the 82-83 motors have a built in CAS in the Distributor.
  4. I have installed a Microtech ECU and have found it to work great. I have heard good things about MegaSquirt and Haltech as well. Pick your poison.
  5. Maybe we should mount two BOV's one before the TB and one near the Turbo...lol:icon56:
  6. That seems like terrible gas milage, unless you drive at full boost everywhere lol...maybe your O2 sensor is bad or there is a vaccum leak. Is this a stock setup or are there modifications?
  7. I installed a PCV inline to the intake from the side of the motor. This should take care of any PSI problems. I have a breather on the valve cover line.
  8. I running a breather/filter directly off of my valve cover. I will, after reading the other post I made below this one, run a pcv valve from the side of the block to either a breather/filter or catch can and cap off the intake hose. I am using a map sensor from my ECU, and my Z is grandfathered from emmisions...lucky me:burnout:
  9. Thats a massive oil leak...you must have heard popping from detonation to ruin the rings right? Would crankcase pressure ruin your rings? I think I'll hook up that vent hose/pcv ASAP to the side of my block before I run up too 15psi again.
  10. I wonder if I should put a breather in the side of the motor with a pcv and cap the stock pipe that runs to the intake on the bottom. Just a thought as long as I don't get an oil leak...then maybe a catch can.
  11. I did a search on the forum, but found only V8 help. I have a monster turbo on my L28 and am boosting up to 15psi. I was wondering if I am in danger of pressurizing the engine block? I have a stock vent pipe that runs from the block to the intake manifold. If I boost to high will this pressurize the motor block? should I put a oneway valve on this hose to prevent flow back? Or is this not even a problem? My valve cover has a breather so that is not an issue up there. Thanks, zraced
  12. Maybe you got one of those state 'O' the art slotted flywheels...JK:icon45:
  13. Hey do you have a standalone ECU in that 81ZXT?
  14. The sensor is the same the disk in the z31 has a larger slot for the TDC reference...the sensor can be swapped from either dizzy.
  15. The only difference are the disks...so if you swap them you should be OK.
  16. The blue wire does go to the negative side of the coil for the tachometer. The brown wire is for the positive side of the coil...should be the 12V supply. I cant remember the yellow wires...do you have a FSM? I did a 83 turbo swap into my 81, but used a standalone...If I find anything on the yellow wires I'll let you know.
  17. If your here in the fall it is great cruising weather especially up into NH,VT, and ME. I'm not to familiar with NY, I know the Catskills are nice.
  18. Well I took it out for another test run and found the problem. The engine is leaning out once I work my way up to 10psi...starts to lean at 5psi it goes from 10AFR to 15 and up once it goes over 15 thats when the problem happens...starved for fuel...I just need to mess around with the settings somemore to get more fuel at the higher RPM's.
  19. I put in new plugs and gapped them to within spec...I must have a fuel problem on my curve...either too much/little. The motor would cough and then the blow off valve could be heard.
