  1. I found out that if you go with the GM aftermarket Tremec GM Aftermarket T56 This swap will be the simplest and least expensive. It will bolt right up to your bellhousing, use your stock clutch setup, stock fork, pilot bearing, throwout bearing, etc. This transmission utilizes a 27 spline slip yoke, which is the same as a TH350 yoke. You’ll need mechanical speedometer gear adapter 26 spline clutch disk to modify your crossmember shorten your driveshaft From here http://5speedtransmissions.com/t56_early_gm.html
  2. I have done some searching but haven't answered all my questions. When bolting one in are they any major mods that must be done? Where is your shifter sitting? What did you use for a crossmember? Driveshaft? I am seriously concidering going with one but want to make sure it is worth the trouble.
  3. I called and talked to someone and they said that with the tremec trans all you need is stock flywheel and clutch and to use a chevelle or z28 stock bellhousing and i bolts up.
  4. http://www.sallee-chevrolet.com/frame.html?/BorgWarner/bwt56.html TREMEC’s GM aftermarket replacement T-56 six speed is designed to replace the T5 five speed in the 82-92 Camaros and Firebirds. This transmission can be used for many other applications with small modifications. Installation is not as hard as you might think. Use the links in the Tremec T56 Navigation bar to help you understand what it will take to do the installation.
  5. I checked tremics web site and they sale a T56 made for other models. http://www.ttcautomotive.com/English/products/T-56.asp
  6. I am concidering a t56 for my V8Z and was reading about them. Are they a direct bolt up to older chevy V8's or do they require kits like the Chevy t56?
  7. But I think on a one time purchase like this it is worth it. Wheels can make or break the look of a car.
  8. I really like these, may concider getting these when it is time for new wheels next year.
  9. I have been told that on 70-72 you can't and on 73+ you can and I have a 72
  10. I am going to be running the 300ZXT axles on my 240Z so I can't use the rear sway bar. I am going to buy a kit and was wondering if anyone would be intrested in the rear bar?
  11. anyone have any more info on this car, what size wheels are these?
  12. sound like either a vac leak or a leak in the tubing before the mass air meter
  13. I haven't bought them yet. I am thinking about it just wondering how hard it is going to be to use flares with them. They run $150.00. You can get them here http://www.zcarparts.com/store/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=50-1454&Category_Code=7SS They have a whole kit you can get with this style. I am contemplating on going with the front airdam and side skirts. I dont really like the rear.
  14. I don't like the rear but I am all most positive I am getting the front and sides, but I am going to have to mod the sides as well to fit the flares.
  15. I am thinking about going with those and the some front end that is on that car as well.
  16. In my V8Z I have a simi built small block 400 I want some exhaust this is a quiet as I can get with out to much restriction. I was thinking about Borla? Anyone running these mufflers?

  19. I am trying to pick out what exhuast to run on my V8Z. I want somethint with a good sound but on the quieter side. I know nothing is going to be really quite, but as quiet as I can get with out too much restriction. I was thinking about going with Borla mufflers? What is everyone running? How do you like it? Now that you have it would you change if you could?
  20. I ordered mine from victoria british today, I can wait till it gets here.
  21. Anyone using this one? I was thinking about getting if from them.
  22. I like the pdk front but it seems like everytime you need to work in the engine bay you will have to remove at least parts of it to be able to work on the car, I do like the triangle set-up that http://www.racetep.com has but I am not sure it will work with my V8 set up, I am thinking about getting someone local to just make me one so it will have some bends in it to work with my set-up
