  1. Who claimed it made 800 at the wheels?

Well there were probably 3 threads just like this.

    http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php/topic/90240-798whp-l28et-for-saleyour-thoughts/page__p__855647__fromsearch__1#entry855647

    http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php/topic/90210-83-280zx-turbo-798hp-for-sale-on-ebay/page__hl__800hp

And as far as I am concerned 99% of the world measure the after market performance gains in WHP. I know the ad said 798hp but either way there was no proof to back up the claim. As far as you know my stock turbo'd L28 was a 600hp monster too. It did make 334whp @ 15psi so I figure at 30psi I am well over 650whp. So I guess I have a 600whp Z also.

I know I come off as a prick often. I dont always mean to be but when people go around throwing out random estimations as what the car infact does, well, the people that sweat, bleed and spend in order to achieve such numbers dont really care for it.

The car went from a 800hp CL ad, to a 798whp CL ad then finally 600whp all with no dyno sheet or even a track time. Just because you have a fancy build sheet does not mean that you can claim what you want.

That being said your car is definitely and amazing build and I do hope that you can come back and shove a 600whp or even that 800whp dyno right in my face.

  2. Antilag isn't actually launch control or "sparkcut".

Antilag is non stop between shifts and has nothing to do with limiting. It continues to ignite fuel even off throttle.

Launch control is a limiter or "2 Step". Basically you cut spark at intervals and let unburnt fuel enter the manifold. It ignites and causes a load on the turbo, enough that the turbo will creative pressure. It's not good for the turbo, I would imagine it not only adds alot of heat. Also it causes basically what are shockwaves. I would imagine true antilag will destroy the turbo much faster than sparkcut.

Your igniting fuel meant to drive a piston in front of a turbine.

We were not talking about any of those things

  3. Ok, this is stemming from BigPhil's thread. It was stated that AntiLag will cause the turbo to fail prematurely. I dont really see any reason why it would be any more harmful to the turbo than 7500rpm and 20psi boost. I doubt that it is any hotter anyway. Only thing I could think is that there is a shock load on the turbine shaft.

That's not quite what anti-lag is. Anti-lag systems typically retard spark timing and dump in more fuel in drop-throttle conditions (shifts). The much higher gas pressure and temperature caused by this are then used to keep the turbine spinning faster than it otherwise would be. It is true that anti-lag decreases engine and turbine life.

Also, is this the true method.

  4. A 280zx turbo I just had my hands on dynod right around 245whp through an auto tranny. This with only a FMIC , 440cc injectors and mega squirt @ 10psi.

My car did 324whp 384wtq with mega squirt, 440cc injectors, walbro fuel pump, FMIC and a larger turbo @ 15psi

Both of these motors were all original L28's. Mine was a 280z l28e. With a cam you can see well over 400whp on the stock L28 with other supporting mods.

  5. What advice did he give, he insinuated that I was too stupid to acomplish the project without knowing anything about me.

    Therefore he is a wanker.

I thought this was hybrid Z, is everyone afraid of a little hard work, or is it because it is a Toyota.

I didn't ask for anyones 2 cents. I asked if it had been done, or if there is a legitmate reason why it can't be done.

I don't care if you don't think it is a good idea.

The 7m's are fine, I have read about them.

Again I didn't ask for your opinion about my motor choice.

    Forget it delete this post.

You did not answer ANY of my questions.

  6. wow JC aren't you king **** of the universe.

I never asked if the 240 could handle the power, I said I am beefing up the frame, personal choice.

I am looking at the Supra parts because it does alot of things for little investment:

Modern suspension, lsd rear end, steering rack, 5 bolt lugs etc...

Let me decide what I can and can't do, nice attitude, wanker.

I realize the Supra stuff will be wider however I am fairly certain flares will compensate for that.

I was looking for any info if anyone had actually done it, I saw some posts about interest in it but nothing further.

What things do the MA70 suspension do that the S30 does not? Only benefit I see is it being 5 lug and better brakes. For the hours invested in a suspension swap why not just build your own equal length upper/lower control arms and fabricate a set of QA1's under the car?

BTW the S30 has no "frame". And a cage will do all the strengthening you should ever need. There are plenty of other companies making tubular/adjustable control arms for these cars as well as probably a dozen different coilover kits. Also plenty of brake swaps too. There is a factory LSD diff you can find if you are willing to look hard enough. What is wrong with the factory steering rack? Maybe you have not seen all of the 5 bot conversion stuff floating around. And why the need for 5 lug?

All of these things just bolt on for the most part. What more do you want?

  7. The major reason that myself as well as a fellow z driver friend of mine have not dropped money on CF parts yet is the fact that one company does not make all the wanted parts in REAL carbon fiber. We dont want any FG on any of the parts. Also the reason for buying all from the same place is so the weave will be the same and match on every panel. Plus last person selling CF tail light sections made them with VERY poor tolerances. I would love to buy as much of the car as I can in CF if it is ONLY CF and fitment is perfect.
