  1. Have called a few an none seam to be very cooperative. Odd since this economy is supposedly so bad.

I did find this just now.

Does not seam too bad for pistons wrist pins and rings. All I am wanting is a factory spec l28et forged piston with an overbore.

Edit: And btw I will be emailing you as soon as I get my truck sold!!

  2. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THAT LINK!! It was super informative!!!

I am going to go back to my old shop here in town with the Dynojet and get a couple of baselines to see what the difference is. The only problem is that my old shop is now under new ownership and just because someone owns a dyno does not mean they know how to tune!!!!!! Trust me!!! My old boss acted like he knew what was up but sometimes I could tell he really didn't!! I guess I need to ask some oldschool hotrod guys here locally for good places that have a dyno and REALLY KNOW how to tune!!

Stop right there! Dont keep going to different dynos to get the highest hp. As long as the dyno is repeatable then stick with it. You keep going to different machines and you will not know what changes did what. Just stay with that dyno and get the most hp you can on that dyno. Sure it may not tell you the numbers you want to see but you will have better results in the end.

  3. It depends on your goals ultimately. The lq4 has larger cc combustion chambers that yield less compression so that is why they make less power. I wanted a lq4 for that exact reason and the iron block is a lot stronger so I could throw boost at it.

Not sure why you would be scarred to throw boost at a LS motor. Local shop twin turboed a LS2 c6 automatic vette. Motor and tranny all stock. Made over 640whp on 10 or 12 psi.

  4. Yes he can sue you.......

I would say there are 2 or 3 ways to go about this.

#1. Just say you have no idea what the hell he is talking about. He likely has no proof that you ever had possetion of the stuff.

#2. Just go in and be perpared. Have all of your info ready for the judge.

#3. Same as above but also counter sue for all of your things and make sure he knows that you have all of your paperwork and information ready. Good chance he may even drop the case.

  5. He just replied to me......

@rwdisgreaterthanfwd I have re-confirmed with the owner. He represented it accurately in the video as "a frankenstein" of parts, including all the trim, body pieces, and interior parts you're probably talking about to "prove" it's a Datsun. There are Datsun trim pieces integrated into the car. He also re-confirmed that it is powered by a Ferrari V12, with the suspension, chassis, and driveline of a Ferrari.

  6. A guy ion craigslist a few years ago wanted $1800 for a pair of Z cars. Both crashed in teh front and have been sitting in a garage for 20+ years. He was like 5hrs away and I called and told him I would give him $800 site unseen. He got mad and said if I were to sell them for any less than $1000 I would just part them out. I said cool, well you have my number so call me if you change your mind. Over the course of 3-4 months I saw the posting go from $1800 to $1200 to $800 then to $500. Gave him a call and said I was on my way. Guess he should have taken my first offer.

  7. The ARP headstuds have a finer thread pitch for the nut that is being tq'd than what the OE head bolt has. Thus you need less ft/lbs to create more clamping force.

THE DIRECTIONS A VERY CLEAR THAT COME WITH THE HARDWARE!

It gives a tq spec for the molly lube and a spec for regular oil.
