  1. Hey Duffy, didn't realize you were so close. I might end up taking you up on that seeing as how I'm getting ready to pull the engine out of my Z.
  2. Alright! My spare cylinder head should be here within the next week so i'll get crackin on it so i have something to show you guys.
  3. I am going to start building my single turbo manifold for my RB to use a T4 flanged T61 turbo. If I can get a couple guys interested in something like this I'd be willing to make a Jig and make a few. It would be able to fit both the RB26 and 26, T4 twinscroll manifold. So how 'bout it. Any interest?
  4. I stand corrected. The "super 60 trim compressor wheels" threw me off a bit. The only problem i see is one of the turbos has the two bolt outlet on the compressor side and the other does not. Might be a problem if you try to hook it up to the factory charge pipe. These will definetly put out more than 450hp.
  5. Sounds like they are high mount twins and will not bolt up to the factory manifolds. Also, being that large, they are probably going to be laggy as hell. Throw a set of these on there. http://www.turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarrett/catelog/Turbochargers/GT28/GT2860R_707160_7.htm They will probably exceed your power goals and your spool time won't be much more than stock.
  6. Who makes the smaller flares that are on the car already?
  7. You can ask him personally. He's on the freshalloy forums as VeilsideS14. Here's a link to a thread of his. Scroll down to see pics. http://forums.freshalloy.com/showthread.php?t=172517
  8. For your power goals you will probably need something like a set of what HKS calls their gt2835's. Here is a link to a kit for a skyline. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/800HP-HKS-GT2835-x-2-Turbo-Kit-GTR-R32-R33-RB26DETT_W0QQitemZ290188116777QQihZ019QQcategoryZ33742QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem You could call an HKS dealer and try to get the specs for the turbos and match that to something from the garrett catalog. Brandon
  9. Might be worth it. http://baltimore.craigslist.org/pts/500464306.html

  11. What are you trying to do with the car? Are you going for all out power, or a more responsive setup? This is going to determine the turbos you are going to use. You say you want to run 30 psi so you can pretty much rule out using stock RB,VG or SR turbos. If your looking for something responsive than you should look into something like a pair of the smaller GT28's. Problem is, as far as I know they only come in T25 flange. You might be able to find them in T3 flange but I haven't. AFAIK the only GT28's that come in a T3 flange are the disco potatoes and they could end up being a little laggy. If lag is not so much of an issue than I would say go with the discos. Just my 2 cents. Brandon
  12. Throw a couple of these on there. http://www.agpturbo.com/product.php?productid=16303&cat=313&page=1
  13. DAMN Phil! I'm guessing you slid on your ass for quite a bit. I used lots of Neosporin on my arm and it seems ok. I didn't have to dig much out of mine but I only slid for a second or so, then I went cartwheeling through the air landing in some woods. The road rash on my right side sucked, but the poison ivy I got from landing in the woods on my left wasn't all that great either.
  14. It sounds like the tires scrambling for traction and then finding it to me. Very impressive car.
  15. Yea I didn't shower for five days after it happened. And for the record I usually wear full gear but I was on a short trip to a buddy's house and didn't think anything would happen. I guess that's why they say the bad stuff always happens close to home.
  16. This was shorts and a T shirt in a turn at 80mph. Front tire hit a wet spot in the road and went right out from under me. The day of I was fine, it's the next 4 days that sucked! Best part is, I have no health insurance so i had to take care of it myself. You think peroxide is bad on cuts and scrapes, try pouring it directly on this.
  17. The Z32 trans uses a vehicle speed sensor instead of a mechanical cable. I have no speedometer as of yet but i plan on buying an autometer speedo that works off of a VSS.
  18. Looks good man. Cant wait for startup vids:2thumbs:
  19. I have a Z32 trans in my car and was hoping that i could put a shifter in place of that cover. Long story short, I couldn't and i would bet that you can't either or at least not easily. What i did was shorten all the external shift linkage to make it fit into my car. Brandon
  20. Well mine is drivable right now it just has no exhaust. I'm down for late January. I haven't heard from Rummnhammer in a while so I don't know if he even looks at these boards anymore.
  21. Is it necessary, probably not. Does it look bad ass and fit perfectly, HELL YEAH!
  22. I'm game for a meet, just need some time to finish up a few things on the car. Brandon
  23. I like the idea of having it connected but I don't like running it directly into the intake because the oil vapor leaves everything inside the turbo, charge piping, intercooler, and intake manifold coated in a dirty oily film. I would run a catch can of some sorts in between the pcv port and the intake to try and catch some of that oily crap.
  24. Yea I haven't fitted the hood yet but i'm not too worried about it fitting. I'm having some oil control issues that I'm more concerned with at the moment so the hood is the least of my worries. Duffy- I'm in Mount Airy, where are you? Brandon
