Hi guys, this is my first post and I am in need of some assistance
I have an early '74 260z (UK spec) and the wiring is ass backwards. Not sure who rewired it or what they were thinking but half the wires were disconnected and some were connected up to things they weren't ever meant to be connected to.
So far I have connected up the brake switch and hand brake warning switch, and I did have headlights/tail-lights/number plate lights/reverse lights working... until I decided to clean all the fuse holders and harness box connector pins today. Hopefully that will all be working again once I replace the fuses, the ones in there all looked pretty old.
Then I took off the steering column housing and that's where I need some help; there is a red wire and a white/red wire hanging loose, it looks like they were intentionally disconnected as the red wire has been cut and the white/red has an unplugged female connector on it. There is a red wire and a white/red wire coming out of the combination switch that are connected together - am I right in assuming that the loose wires were originally joined with these?
Sorry about the pic, but my garage is dark and I was armed with only with a torch and a camera phone.
There is also a relay hanging in the driver side footwell, I can't see which loom it is attached to, any ideas? The connecting wires are blue/green.
