1. where did you get your custom cage done? how much was the cage?
2. i have a few questions: - where did you purchase that fuel sump and rail? - which throttle body are you running? - are you using mckinney motor mounts?
3. As title states. Here is the information on the Subaru: This is located in Santa Clara, CA but moving back to San Fernando Valley in SoCal within the next month. Can show car anytime. Hate to see this thing go, but I have way too many cars to keep it. I bought this about 2 years ago when the car had 55k+ miles on the body. I am the 3rd owner. Last owner toss a rod and decided to rebuild the motor at 50k miles on the body. He got it done through a friend and spent loads of money on it. When I bought it, the car ran decent but was not tuned. I put on another 8k on the motor and out of nowhere, pop, motor dies on me. Took it to GST Motorsport and they took it apart and found that the connecting rod cap was not torque properly and it threw the rod. Luckily, the head was still in good shape. New motor was built by GST Motorsports, Hayward, CA with factory Suburu STi 2.5 block, oil pump, water pump, and fresh gasket set. Head work, fitment, and installation all performed by GST Motorsports. Refer to list below for all the additions. The ’06 STi drive-train was taken from a salvaged STi with 24k+ miles on it. Currently the motor and clutch has 16k+ miles on it. Chassis has 79k+ miles on it. STi Drive-train has 40k+ miles on it. Brakes has 10k+ miles on it. Check engine light is on for code 44 – Small EVAP leak. This is a great car and needs a great home. Still could be a lot faster. This car is my daily and has done numerous trips to LA-SF to visit family. Never tracked, majority highway miles. Only cosmetics need work right now: - Front passenger fender, roof, rear bumper has oxidation. - Hood was painted by previous owner in flat black to match BBS wheels. - Rear bumper on driver side has scuff from hit and run incident. - Misc. dents and scratches. Interior - JDM Vers. 4 STi seats - Pro-Drive Shift Knob - Pioneer Avic D3 modded – equipped with Bluetooth phone and audio, Navi, DVD, Ipod connectivity - Greddy Turbo Timer - ATI Triple gauge pod - Pro Sport Gauges – Oil Pressure, Boost/Vac, Water Temp (not connected) - AEM Wideband Gauge Air/Fuel - Pro Sport EGT gauge – not running, missing temp sensor - ProParts Dual instrument cluster gauge pod - WeatherTech DigitalFit All-Weather floor mats – front and rear
Exterior - Painted Side Skirt - Rally Armor UR Mud Flaps - Morette Headlights – color matched fairings – driver side outer lens broken - Hella 500 fog lights w/ Hella yellow tint - CF STi hood scoop – needs new clear coat - Hood painted flat black to match BBS wheels - *Spare set of aftermarket tail lights (not installed) - *JDM replica grill (not installed) Drive-Train/Suspension - ’06 STi Drive-Train Swap o STi 6 speed transmission o STi differentials o STi axles - ’06 STi Suspension - ’06 STi BBS w/ Hankook V4 ES H105 – a few curb scratches - ’06 STi Brembo Brakes – front and rear – newly replaced OEM pads with slotted rotors and steel braided lines - Engine – all motor work done by GST Motorsports, Hayward, CA o STi 2.5 block – purchased brand new from Subaru o STi water pump o STi oil pump o Brand new gasket set o Original 2.0 head with headwork – new oversided valves, port and polish o STi intercooler o Stock ’02 turbo, injectors
- Mapped Tuned by Infamous Tuning, Corona, CA – 231 WHP/Peak 15 lbs - Exedy stage 2 clutch set - Cusco Sway bars – front and rear – solid end-links - Cusco Type OS-T rear strut bar - Cusco Front underbody brace - HKS Hi-Power cat-back
4. Oh damn. Who are you dealing with? Ive shot stuff for modified mag before.
5. Great progress man. Still gotta find some time to do mine.
6. Man I'm dying to see ur results with the turbo. How much was the upgrade? Which manifold did u go with? I feel u about the rain n being sick. I'm in the same boat. My car has just been sitting waiting. Feel better man.
7. Wow, definitely on the to-do list. Some great looking cars and crazy low vin numbers.
8. Which exhaust manifold are you running?
9. How big are your lines? I was thinking -8. Is that too big? Are those headlights the projector ones?
10. That is some amazing times and on a stock block. I hoping to only get to 400whp and by the looks of it, youre making me feel its easier to achieve than I imagined. Post a picture of your engine bay if you can. Love to see it.
11. I need a 280z gas tank in decent condition. Looking for something in or around Los Angeles area. But willing to drive/pay for shipping if reasonable and allowable pending gas tank might have limitations to that. Please let me know what you might have. Thanks.
12. Those are good looking gauges and a very nice swap.
13. Haha she sounds like a keeper. Always appreciate a lady that can let her man have his fun too. I understand what youre saying about the oil cooler and having to run it to through the oil filter location. Looks like I may be doing a relocation kit. Would that have any adverse effects compared to the sandwich plates that just mounts to the old spot? Either way, it seems like a lot of plumbing from the right side of motor to front left corner of motor. Did you run hardlines to that oilcooler or S/S lines? BTW, what headlight are those?
