  1. You're the man,welcome ,great to see a hybrid Z showing the world what these cars can do.How big of a nitrous shot are you running on your pinks car?Those are 2 very impressive Z's you have ,congrats.
  2. I know it's old news but i had to watch it again and hear about it from my racing buddies,they can't wait to put down our imports.I just wish we could have been more impressive for the world to see .
  3. Just finished watching the hybrid z episode on pinks,i have to tell you it was tough to watch.I hate when one car needs 8 lengths to compete,especially when its our guys.It was a good effort for the car you put in,but a true hybrid z should have a small block with nitrous atleast for negotiating purposes.Garrett and the guys represented us well,good job.Since i sat down at the computer my phone has rang twice,i've been getting the gears about losing to a Monte Carlo and why we would send a 13 second car to pinks.I just think it would have been a lot more competative with even a 350 hp small block on the bottle.Just my frustration what's your take on the show?

I've been listening to all the comments about our horsepower and breakage ,ifound a new rearend and with the group buy on the brute i felt brave today,so what if i break ,winter is here.I stopped in the middle of the highway ,hit the nitrous button and let it launch,WOW.This is fun,the car held together great,insane out of the hole,i think i'll keep having fun until we have breakage.

  6. I have an r200 with 3.9s ,they seem like a good ratio withmy 700r4, the thread says there are no spacers req.
  7. Are the 300 zxt cv's a straight bolt in with the adapters or do they have to be shortened.I thought the 300 cv's were longer than the 280's? Thanks alot for the info Jim,does this feltons have alot of z stuff?Also i see the group buy can get the brute lsd for $450 us. 0r i can buy the lsd rearend for $800 Canadian,what would you do ?

I found an r200 clsd with no half shafts,i need to go the cv route with 400+ HP and 150 shot nos.What are my options with the cv's ,i know i can get an adapter from modern moto.I know how long it took me to track down a rear end,i imagine it will be the same looking for the cv shafts.How many different models can i make work,up in Canada the junkyards laugh when i ask for early z stuff. Is there anyone in Washington state that may have some parts?I live a 1/2 hour from the border,i could drive down or ship and pick up ?
  9. Any one else using a 150 shot off the line,if so what kind of rearend and axles.How many hits without breakage or lets here some good breakage stories,i've got a feeling i have one coming.
  10. I have just gone through the same thing,you may have seen my posts i put on 26" et streets ,i had to make a 2" spacer to go ontop of my spring hat and bolt to the tower.It worked great and wow do those tires hook up, it's scary.Going to start to break things now.
  11. I thought if i was already rolling,that would ease the stress on the half shafts.Can you explaine a little more about the stall with the nos?

Nice story,it starts way better than it finishes,i don't think i could have a 10 sec.car sitting there and not be playing with it.Sell the turbo,cv axles and have some fun.That is a great sounding car,i know i'm going to start breaking,so the quaife and cv's are the winter project,it's time to park the car in Canada anyway.Except the odd sunny sunday!
  13. Where you breaking axles off the line?This is why i'm on the quaife group by and some cv axles.What kind of set up did you change to?What kind of times with the 175 shot?
  14. My r200 has that plate with 5 small pieces welded on ,i was going to leave it off but thought i had better not mess with a good combo.
  15. First run was 12.1@115 second run was 11.7 @125 you left just before i went on the third run and the crash.I'm a ways away from your 11.2 good dr.
  16. I put 2" spacers on top of the shock hat with 3 new studs,worked great.What a difference the slicks make,from frying the tires in 2 gears to launching and going hard,i don't think the slicks spun at all.They make the car look alot tougher too.

Well i made it to the last race of the season,i was pretty nervous but managed to run a 11.7 @125 motor only.I was next in line for my nos. pass when a girl in a mint gto went nose first into the wall at 3/4 track,they shut down the track.Atleast i didn't break anything and i got to drive home,lots of room for improovment.150 shot of nos and my 60' was crap!1.9 but lots of mph.I need a 3500 stall and nos of the line.Can't wait for next year,sure wish i didn't leave it to the end.Any ideas to improove my 60' time?

Thanks for your help,over the winter i'm going to change the springs,but i fixed my problem for friday racing.I made a 2" spacer to bolt onto my cap with 3 new bolts welded on top,dropped the springs bolted on and it seemed to work really well.had some big launches now i hope i don't break anything.Will do the first nitrous run tomorrow,wish me luck.

  21. My problem must be very week springs because i have 2 inches of clearance but when i put 400 hp to the rears it hits hard.Your Arizona springs are a stock replacement?I'm looking for a quick fix,last races this friday night,new suspension over winter with the group queife buy,i hope.
  22. Want to go racing fri.night but my slicks don't have enough clearance.Dr.Z says i can put the 280 spring cap on and gain .75 inch,but i need at least 1.5 inches,anyone else have this problem,time is running out.235 60 15

  24. Did you get your new motor running,have you had it out yet .Any ideas how i can raise my ass end to make the slicks fit?Let me know.
  25. Hi mike,i'll be there on friday,but the springs didn't help enough to make my slicks work.I don't want to run without the slicks ,do you have a small set i could use?I'd love to run,the Z is begging to go.See you friday night.
