Torque is simply a measure of rotational force, and you CAN feel torque. anyone who has driven a V8 can attest to the fact that you can feel torque.

If I am not mistaken, those are ITBs. Is that your engine? if so, do the ITBs make any real difference, other than being cool as hell? also, where did you source them from?

If someone could do this for me, that would be great. I would like a front pic of a stock (looking) 240z from dead on, not at an angle or anything, at about bumper level. Its fun to you, not to me. good for you. But piss-poor torque cant be made up for, period.

any car where you have to use the phrase "wind it up" to me is not too much of a fun car, due to the fact that i like my cars to have that thing that hondas generally lack, called torque. any motor where you have to wait for 6k RPM until it gets fun really isnt worth it in a street car, IMO.

I was actually doing some research into the M70 V12 (I have been thinking about this swap for a while now) and you are correct in saying that the M70B50 is two M20B25's with a common crank. The heads are a little different, but close to the same. As far as the engine management, I was looking into standalones and the two that I found that would handle the task the best would be the TEC3 (which from my research does OK(http://www.directignition.com/products/tec3.html)) and the Omex 710 (which would do it better (http://www.omextechnology.co.uk/Ecus/710/omem710.htm)). These also have a boatload of other features as well, like traction control. (and lets face it, with a TT V12 on the street, who wouldnt like to be able to turn that on in the rain?) just my $.02

What is the purpose of having a motor in a street car that can rev to 11,000 RPM? If you want a fun car, why worry about high revving, low displacement motors and go with something that will give you a truely fun car, like an SR20DET, or if you are stuck on NA, go with the aforementioned VQ35. I have driven an S2000, and personally, it wasnt really that fun of a car, simply due to the lack of a low end. This is basically what you are looking at. If this is what you want, good luck. I will be way ahead of you with my TT V12.

Interestingly enough, I have found that both the R34 GTR and the 1993-1998 supra use the Getrag 233 transmission, which makes me wonder how the power is transferred to the front wheels in a skyline. I cannot find a photo of a skyline transmission, and therefore cannot find this answer...

I emailed Castlemaine about the adapter and they said they dont make an adapter or a bellhousing for that combination, hence the question... Maybe I got someone who didnt know what they were talking about.

how strong is the 350z tranny and will it mate to an RB26? I really really want a 6 speed and an RB26 in a 240z and am looking for a good combo....

Are either of these two possible..... either mating a supra 6 speed tranny to an RB26, or using the GTR tranny without the two front driveshafts connected? I know it is probably a noob question and not exactly smart on either account, but i love the hell out of my 6 speed camaro and really want one in the 240z I am planning on building....
