  1. So I was driving to school until I realized I forgot something at home and began to make my way back home. I was about 1 mile into my drive and only about 1/2 away from my house when my car began to stutter (somewhat like instant power loss) and my car stalled right after crossing an intersection . I made it to an open parking spot and waited for traffic to clear before trying to start the car to make my way home. After it was clear I started the car up again and it began to stutter badly and I was only able to get away from the intersection into a side street before the car stuttered and stalled again. At this point the car had some trouble turning over and it took several tries before I was able to turn it over. I was able to make my way home after driving it the remaining 1/4 mile with some severe stuttering/bogging at all rpms.

After getting the car back into my driveway I turned it off and took the backup car to school. Once I returned home, I tried to turn it over but this time I ran out of luck. I did some searching at ran into a few threads where people had similar issues with rust/gunk in the gas tank and/or bad fuel pumps. The fuel pump on my car does turn on but the fuel will not reach the other end of the filter (my fuel pump sucks fuel upwards and after this issue the fuel will not reach the top of the filter, only up to the middle).

I'm on a fairly tight budget after I put new tires on, full tune-up kit and just ordered new spark plug cables, ignition coil and spark plugs.

So I would like to know if...

Could this be a really bad crossfire symptom?

Carb issue, needs rebuild? they were somewhat out of tune

    Fuel Pump?

    Gunk in gas tank?

Any input would be nice, thanks.

  2. i sold my rx7 on craigs list after a few days and had a few people look at it and a dozen call. It wasn't stressful, you just need to list the details and make an effort. I bought my 240z and the rx7 on craigslist too. Both adds listed a few details.

if you want to sell that car a lot easier, do what auxilary did with your ad. Beef it up and give it details and maybe throw in why you're selling it and what the truck would be good for, ect.

  3. I saw this car at the autoshow on Saturday. The PR guy that was representing the car said the manufacture suggested sale price was 70k. I bet most dealerships are going to sell them for no less than 75k, maybe even more than 80k-85 if they are made in lower quantity. It looked nicer than it did in videos and photos, but it is expensive.

  4. What in green tarnation makes you think that god put "THE ONE FOR YOU" in the same hometown as you?

Of the 8 billion people in the world, 4 billion are women and your basing your decision on "THE ONE" that lives next door?!!! Go to the mirror and slap yourself silly. I could be totally wrong too. But thats my honest opinion.

no offense, but that doesn't make any sense until you're about 17... heh. until then he will look back a couple of years from then and think to himself "damn, i guess that guy on the internet was right".

anyway, don't stress it out because that's nothing. When I got with my first serious chick her mom saw me holding hands with her the first night we hung out as a couple and her mom went so furious THAT THEY MOVED THE VERY SAME DAY WE GOT TOGETHER! LOL. I really liked the chick so I made it work out even though she lived around 25-30 miles away from me ( i was 15, no car... no cash.). So... what i'm saying to you is. you have it pretty sweet for a 14 year old. no parent is every going to give you the thumbs up and tell you to "hang out" with their daughter alone... well most of the time anyway. if you get lucky and thats the case, id go see a doctor if i were you.

  5. i hate to say it but i kinda had a 1983 audi quattro.

one of the teachers was raffling it away at my mom's school, she won the car for 10 bucks (raffle ticket price). It was in pretty decent condition, around 150,000 miles and some faded paint but overall c+ quality. it was grey and had the quattro label on the right side of the frame and the rubber spoiler in the rear.

she thought it was useless because it didnt pass a smog check and did want me having it for that reason. i tried pleading with her to let it stay and once i was finished with school i'd work on it. anyway one day i came home and i found out she had given it away for free... i couldn't argue with her for the reason i was strugling in school and was working hard to finish on time and at the time i didnt realize how great the car was until after i bought my 240z.

i know who has it, maybe ill try talking to him one day and buy it. i just had to let that out because well... i'll probably never see an audi quattro again...

ehh why would you want a quattro when you have a old rusty datsun?

    :P

  6. Try contacting ebay through the live help link on the main page. If you want you can probably sue him for the money spent on the trailer and stuff to go get it. Anyway use the live help, they should be able to walk you through it. Good luck, it sounds like the guy just didnt like the price the car sold for and doesn't want to seel it for that cheap.
