  1. Well, Lonestar, you're going to the right place if you want to do the RB swap. Skylines are everywhere here, even I gave into them. I do enjoy mine though. All you have to do is get in good with the local junkyards and sooner or later an American is bound to crash one. I just hope your Z doesn't fall prey to the horrible drivers here. I hate to say it, but stereotypes run pretty deep here. Although I hear Korea can get pretty crazy too. How much power are you getting with your current setup? What are numbers for your cam? Do they affect your low range power and/or turbo-lag at all? @Oddman- Cocos is definitely one of the most remembered things here! But while you may be jealous of that, I'm jealous that you get to play with your Z everyday(unless I'm jumping to conclusion)! I can't wait to get back to the states and tear into it properly. I just remembered; the other day I saw an amazing 69-73 Fairlady right down the street from my apartment. I wish I hadn't been on my way to work or I would've stopped by and introduced myself. That's the only one I've seen here... Car show coming up, though(fingers crossed)
  2. Did you end up with the power you were looking for? What are your engine specs? I'm building an L28ET and I'd like to get similar power without stroking it. You should post more pics as well, it looks like your project has come along quite nicely?
  3. @dnazcar- I have looked into Rebello quite a bit. I'm pretty impressed with their work, but their prices are something to be contested. Most of their products are reworked used parts(which are perfectly fine) I'm just not going to break my bank on parts when I could do it myself for a lot less. Most of the things They do are very commonly done as well. Either way thanks for taking time out to check out my post. What kind of project brings you to Hybridz? @Lonestar- Yep I'm at Kadena. I'm in LRS at vehicle ops. What do you do? Unfortunately I cannot bring my Z over since I already have a car over here(R33 Skyline) and didn't purchase my Z until about 2 years into my tour. I'll definitely take a look at Big Phil's posts and check into the GT35! With any luck that may be just the thing I'm looking for. What's under your hood, or going to be in the future?
  4. First off, I'm Ben! I'm new to the forums but have spent many, many hours browsing and researching. I grew up in Chico, CA but currently I'm currently stationed in Okinawa, Japan. I bought my early 74 260z from a professor at UC Davis in Davis, CA while I was on deployment last summer. The car was in such great condition that he delivered it to my parent's house for the sweet, sweet price of $2,000. I finally got to play with it last month while home on leave and have gotten Z fever since. I've flip-flopped back and forth over possible engine swaps and have decided on the L28ET(F54/P90) combo if things go right, mostly inspired by Austin Hoke's set up. I have gotten most of it pretty well planned out mostly due to the hours spent scanning this great site for tech! I'm planning on doing a complete rebuild with .30/.40 over pistons, a ton of head work, possibly custom built intake manifold, full aftermarket ECU and so on and so on. I'm hoping to achieve 350-400 HP with my only real questions being; *What cam should I go with? *What turbo would you(the members) suggest? I want to mention that I ask those questions due to the fact that I have not been able to find any pleasing info regarding those. I'm sure there are and I want to apologize ahead of time! As we all know, there is a TON if info here which means it takes long time to sift through for somethings. This site has treated me very well and I hope to return the favor!! Here's my project! There's some obvious before and after shots. I also have an exhaust clip on youtube, here's the link.
