  1. Damper bought and received from Scott_M67. Admins please close
  2. My headlight keeps switching by itself, between Hi and Lo beams. Flipping my combo switch has no effect on the beams. Would appreciate any ideas what is causing this problem.
  3. WTB: Combo switch (lights, wiper, etc) from a 1982 280ZX. I know 1981 will not work as I already got one. PM me price including shipping to NY 12303
  4. WTB: Crank damper from 75-78 280Z - one that had A/C so it has 2 grooves.
  5. To Derek (sticky280zx): As PM'd after your 1st post, I have already bookmarked you should I not get one by the time I am ready. In the meantime, I am still on the look-out for one that would cost me less (being in the unemployment line for 1 1/2 years and spending on a Z does require a little juggling act). Rickey
  6. No, that would not work. Pic of correct one attached.
  7. Water pump pulley received from Challenger. Still interested in the 2 pulley crank damper.
  8. WTB: Interested in a center valance in good condition, for a 1982 280ZX. Please PM price including shipping to NY 12303.
  9. Getting the water pump pulley from Challenger for FREE. Thanks Challenger! Need only damper pulley now. I can trade for my 3 pulley damper (from a 1981 280ZXT) for anyone who wants to add power steering
  10. WTB A crank damper with 2 pulleys from a 75 - 78 280Z; one that had A/C. Want to use it with Derek's mounting kit to install EDIS on a 1982 280ZXT. Also need a water pump pulley from a 1981 -1983 280ZX.
  11. I intended to post this under the EMS - Megasquirt section, but posted here in error. Could an Admin please move it for me . Thanks
  12. To retain use of all 3 grooves on the 280ZX crank pulley with my EDIS setup, I plan to have the 36-1 trigger wheel attached to the "toothed wheel" on a 1981 crank pulley, i.e. it will be between the crank pulley and the timing chain cover. Just wanted to inquire if anyone is running a similiar setup without problems, or whether they encountered any problems, such as: 1. clearance between the trigger wheel and block 2. slipppage (I read the inner pulley has some type of rubber between it and the others) 3. timing issues because the toothed wheel on the pulley is so thin and can bend easily. Or any other problem. Any other suggestion to have use of all 3 grooves on the crank pulley would also be welcome - I bought a MS/EDIS setup from WizardBlack since last year but it remains uninstalled because of this need to retain all 3 pulleys.
  13. Thanks everyone. I guess I will settle for a good Felpro hasket. And I will have to pass on the ARP at this time - last time I looked at my unemployment check it just had food and rent marked on it!
  14. PB did not help: still unable to unscrew it with my hands. Maybe I can use a vise grip to get it out, but is it just a simple screw-in to replace it?
  15. Would this be good enough for 350 HP @ 12 psi boost?
  16. I need to replace the oil temperature sensor located in the oilpan on my 1982 280ZXT. I have removed what seems like a lock nut from the front (outside) of the sensor, but am unable to budge the sensor. Any suggestion how to get it out? Thanks
  17. Thanks, but decided on a new one from Nissan.
  18. I do have a/c, and can't do without it since my Z is almost a daily driver. In fact the only reason I have not installed my MS (bought since last year) as yet is because I am still inquiring how to run EDIS with all 3 pulleys (need my power steering too). Cutting off my PCV will choke my old engine, so I guess I will just get someone to do the best they can with the DP. Maybe I should have gotten the S30! LOL! Thanks again.
  19. Thanks!. MSA actually still has the DP for $100. Since i can't weld I guess I will have to get one custom made. But then as Derek said the turbo is so close to the firewall. Is there any turbo upgrade that will alter the position to allow better turns? Or any simple modification to the exhaust manifold?
  20. WTB: 1982 280ZXT Speedometer cable(working) - the one running from the T5 gearbox to the firewall.
  21. WTB: Stainless Steel DP for a 1982 ZX Turbo. Anywhere from 2 1/2" to 3"
  22. WTB: 1mm metal head gasket for 280ZXT that someone may have but no longer need
  23. Thanks. Bought a Tsubaki kit from Hybridz member. I think it is the same kit sold by Motorsports Auto. Would still like to hear recommendation on head gasket. My think my setup should support about 300 HP at up to 12 psi boost.
  24. I need to replace my timing chain and engine head gasket. Nissan OEM parts seems very costly. Any recommended or popular brand I can use instead of Nissan? Thanks for any suggestions.
  25. Interested in a T3/T4 turbo in good condition. Will only buy from "older" member as I have been burned before.
