  1. Has any one ever wired a 78 FI harness in an earlier year? I instaled the FI harness in my 75.. Were the harness gose to the battery there is a female plug and a relay..The car I took the harness had a male plug by the battery but I did'nt check if they were power or ground...Its a blue wire and a red wire..???

  3. I removed the six flexplate blots,then there was a small spacer looking thing and the flex plate came off... is there somthing else behind the flex plate that woud get in the way or that needs to be remove?????
  4. I am in the middle of an L28ET swap in my 280z.. I bought a L28ET from a local junk yard that came off an auto 280zxt... I going with a T5 trans and a competition clutch as I will be making arround 360hp @ the wheels... Here is the problem... I removed the flex plate form the engine and my flywheels dose'nt want to sit in place....That I can remember the flywheel sits in place then you can bolt it on.. Well I can bolt it on but it dose'nt seem like its going all the way in as it should..... dose any one know what the back spacing should be between fly wheel and block? please help....

  7. Again thanks for all the info ..I just bought back my old set up and I will be running that.. F3 haltech,Eletromotive ignition, Bosh turbo Fuel pump,1/2 fuel lines,topend performance fuel rail, 550cc injectors, t3/t04 ,external waste gate,I dynoed 292hp / 331tq @ 12 psi with that set up and later went to 18-20 psi but never got back to the dyno.
  8. Thanks for the info... But I am going to try the turbo injectors with an FMU and the dizzy fix so it wont advance mechanicly and see what happens....

  10. yes the you can run a na dizzy but you have to change the oil pump shaft...not the whole pump... It sound hard but its very very easy...

Okay so Iam in my 78 280z checking out all the lights .. with the car off I have the head lights and parking lights on and then I hit the hazard switch and they blinked about four times and then they died along with the volt meter.. The car still runs and everything works turn signals, head lights ,parking lights ,horn ,ac, radio , everything exept hazards and volmeter...what do you guys think...I think it might be a fuesable link or somthing I havent really checked the fueses..I mean I did but i did'nt..I just took a glance at the fueses and the all looked to be intact...what should I look for....Thanks you

  13. I am about to swap an L28ET into my 280z.... I've done the swap before using a haltech fuel computer... Now on a budget I want to use the ecu and harness in my 78 280z along with the coolent temp sensor cold start and air flow meter using turbo injectors and fuel pump... Has any one done this before ..I dont want a monster I just want it to run @ 6-8 psi for a few months then get a fuel computer later on..by the way I am running an L28ET from an 83 and I am going to change the dizzy and shaft to run the 78 dizzy.....
  14. Iam sorry but I love the stock body how nissan made it...Maby I am just not used to seeing them with out the side markers..
  15. I belive you can, but your old belts may not fit..Iam not shure but the l24 pulley's are smaller the then the l28's..but it will go on...
  16. I just dynoed my bone stock 250k + mile L28 with a hybrid T3/T04E ,npr intercooler ,550cc injectors, top end performance fuel rail,msd ignition,240sx throtle body,and a F9 Haltech.......@ 15 psi 321hp 361 tq. all day long in my 2100 lbs early 260z
