Im wondering about this too. My black dragon crap wont let me close the hatch flush. It locks, but it doesn't fit flush and I am MAD!

I have a 73 240z and I want to take off the interior compartment lids behind the seats. I tried using a screwdriver, but that stripped a screw. I couldn't see inside the compartment to see what kind of bolt was under it, and I couldn't get the bolts off. Anyone know how to take them off?

Ok, I lied, there is a small amount of slack on the cable, but as you can see by the 4th picture, which demonstrates about how far the throttle is opened when the gas pedal is all the way down, that the slack doesnt really factor into my problem yet. I took the pedal stopper out to see if that would help things, and it doesn't do much.

There is no slack, do you know where I can find said parts? I have a Holley 1850 4bbl 600cfm on it.

I have a SBC 327 in a 73 240z with a holley 1850 4bbl carb. When I step on the gas pedal, the primary valves open less than halfway. How do I get them to open all the way? The linkage is the original 240z linkage. This is the JTR conversion, it used to be scarab. Is that the problem?> new question: So in my Holley 1850, I noticed that there was a small round hole in the one of the barrels. I sprayed some compressed air from a can upside down into the hole for the vaccuum secondary and it sprays out of that little hole. It looks like a casting error or it could be that it should be there. I'm thinking that it is an error. Should I plug it up with some JB weld? How does the vaccuum secondary work (ie. where does it get vaccum from?)

that looks good. I'm used to refinishing rifle stocks with real wood, just don't know if this mircata stuff needs any special attention. guess I'll just test in a small area first.

i need this info too. I just took the wheel off. Wasn't expecting it to come off with just a few bangs and no steering wheel tool. Now I gotta make it look better.

So, I had a black dragon auto weatherstrip kit, the interior hatch piece fits like crap, don't know how I'm going to fix it. The door pieces didn't even look remotely close, so I got some Kia Sportage ones. The hatch glass piece fit well. The windshield rubber also fit well... or so I thought. After putting the glass (and the trim) on the car, I noticed that there is a gap between weatherstrip and car frame on the upper passenger side corner. The inside looks like it is sealed (there is no light shining through). My question is, what's wrong? Is it poor installation, poor product, or will the rubber/glass wiggle itself back?

well that's the thing, I dont know whether it is the piece on the door or the piece on the frame. I already got kia sportage ones, which work well. Just need to figure out the hatch...

is there anyway someone who has the correct brain mapping to understand word intensive instructions that can put this into a picture? I do not follow passages very well. If someone or op could draw a simple picture or something, i would greatly appreciate it.

is there a good write up for the T-5 conversion? About how much will everything cost to convert a th350 to a t5? The wc t-5's seem to be rare finds.

Is the black dragon auto weatherstrip piece bad quality or bad fit for the 240z? What other ones can i buy?

So I sat in my passenger side seat, pulled the lap belt across and now it does not retract. Anyone know how to fix this? It was working fine before. I did unbolt the contraption to hide some wires, and then I bolted it back in. Did I mess something up? Thanks, Wilson

If it's not too muhc trouble, can you post some pics? I'm pretty sure I've got the weatherstripping on correctly, but you never know.

So I bought the hatch weatherstrip pieces from Black Dragon: the piece that goes on the inside of the hatch, the piece that goes on the top middle outer part, and the two that go down the outer side. My hatch did not close flush with the body before, and I never tried adjusting it, but now it closes with about a half centimeter gap. It closes, but it looks shamefully ugly. Do I need to heat this weatherstrip up and wait for it fix itself or what? Im starting to regret my purchase of this weatherstrip kit because I ended up buying some Kia Sportage door strips anyways. Weatherstripping this car is SO frustrating. I think doing body work was more fun, and a LOT cheaper. Oh yea, for those of you who think you are doing some productive by saying "go search," don't say anything unless you can actually help me. I've searcehd, but only come up with some tips for the doors. Any genuine tips about adjusting the hatch and weatherstrip is appreciated.

It looks a little better, but for now, I will keep it this way until I have more time to work on it (school down in LA). I'm near Elk Grove blvd and Franklin. Will definately check out ur shops spring break, if you guys are open then. A few of the shops I used to check out have gone away in the past couple years.. GL to you.

So I've heard from a few peopel that dc2 (integra) door weatherstrips work in a 240z. My question is, which piece is it? I looked at one at a junkyard, but I couldn't figure it out. Trying to get this car done before 2010. Thanks!

About the integra weatherstripping (I cant find any good pics online) - do they have the metal clip on things like the Kia Sportage's or do I have to glue them on? The 2 door integra weatherstrips are long enough, correct? Is the fitment good?

Anyone know if the ones from a Hyundai Elantra will work? They have the integrated welting with metal supports as well. The profile looks similar, but my pick n pull wants to charge 2$ per foot. Anyone have experience with these?
