  1. Make one. Try googling bulkhead barb fittings, that should get you close. Of course you are probably going to need a better measurement than "size would be like that on most valve covers"

I asked where to buy not how to make. I'm after something clean that looks like it was made for the car as opposed to something that I slapped together in my garage. The hose measurement is roughly 16mm ID, I figured most people on here knew what the standard valve cover breather nipple looked like so I didn't feel it necessary to spell it out at this point in time.

  2. Alright so I'm working on making an intake for my n/a rb25 and I want to retain the valve cover vapor vent rather than just slap a filter on it. Eventually Ill do an oil catch can but for now I want everything operating to stock form. Here's a picture of what I'm looking for:

I found this from a company in the UK but the diameter of the vac port is too large.

They also sell this guy which is pretty neat but it's kind of pricey for what it is..and shipping from the UK ugg..

Now I know I can just go buy some basic ebay pipe and cut it to fit but I'm just suprised how hard it is to get something with a bit of quality. If any of you guys have websites for something please post it up I'm getting tired of this scavenger hunt!

  3. In my boredom yesterday I made an air inlet for the future intake. My previous RB responded better to a short ram style intake over a cold air type. Ill eventually have some sort of pipe or air deflector to direct the air to the filter. The inlet used was from a Nissan Titan oem air box and it was able to bolt it right to the radiator support using the pre-existing holes.

  4. Thanks guys! Here's a long overdue update.

Got all 4 wheel hubs installed. These are super light compared to the originals.

Wheels and tires came out nice, it doesn't looks as much like an F1 car now but function over fashion. I had to buy longer wheel studs to accommodate the new style of wheel.

So far I've only driven it the one time. I found a hairline crack in the clutch cover which was slowly weeping out the fluid so the hunt goes on for a vintage horstman clutch cover. The gas tank seal at the filler cap also has a leak which could leak gas out during cornering so that will need to be replaced as well. I have a kill switch button I need to wire in as well. Unfortunatly with my Z undergoing a motor swap the Kart has been put on the back burner for now but expect go pro racing vids of this guy in the future.

Here's a VERY informative video I found on youtube regarding setting up a kart..

  5. With my last RB Z I never had to touch the oil pan and it was stock so I can only assume it was the hard to find OEM rear sump pan. After looking at the expensive Mckinney pan and the cheap looking CXRacing I found what looks like a good middle ground. The enjuku racing pan w/ pick-up. http://www.enjukuracing.com/products/rb25det-rb20det-s30-z31-rear-sump-oil-pan.html

Anyone have any other options to throw out there or opinions on the enjuku? I'm not really looking to have a shop fab something up.

  6. So my z has a production date of 12/72 on the door jam vin plate. I was laying upside down removing the tach wing nuts when I noticed the dash had a date stamped on it which read 12/25/72. Could this be the date my car rolled off the assembly line? Anyone else find a date under their dash somewhere?

  7. Have you figured out what you want to do about the speedo sensor? I verified through the your wiring that it doesnt have a speed sensor like I was talking about earlier. That gauage looks good though. I bet the autometer gauge might have a way to drive it via a coupl magnets on the driveshaft or something.

Not sure yet, speedhut sells speedos that read off gps but I don't like the idea of running two different looking gauges and not sure if they can be fitted into the stock housing like the autometers. I didn't have a working speedo with my last rb and it didn't bother me. You tend to pay more attention to the drive rather than constantly checking if your following the rules haha. The cops are pretty low key in my area too.

  8. Now THAT'S beauty.

Since you're sticking with NA, are you going to stay with the stock RB25DE TB setup, or go all out with an ITB setup?

I plan on staying with the stock tb and intake manifold for a while. ITB's are definately out of my budget at the moment but I love the idea of it. winstonusmc has a really nice itb set-up on his rb25de.
