  1. Hey wickie, what was the name of the shop that blasted your car? I live in the I.E. too (alta loma), and i'm looking for a shop right now. Did the same place blast the shell and spray the primer on it? Also, how did you like the etching primer? Will that seal the bare metal enough to leave just in that primer for a long time? Or does it need to be covered in epoxy primer on top of the etching stuff?

    paint it with PPG epoxy primer the etching will work but then your going to have to sand it off to spray it with epoxy because the body filler cannot be put over the etching primer

    they have a chevy bolt pattern i think is 5X120.7 what can i use to make these fit..Hub centric adaptor 4 to five lug ...i email modern motorsport ltd. but it would be $695 for the rear billet stub axles with the custom bolt pattern...to much for my wallet....

     

    what else can i do any suggestions would the 4 to 5 lug adaptors work? any body have any pictures of what they look like

  4. Here are some pictures of the hatch with out the original paint and then sprayed with PPG epoxy primer...no big dents on the hatch just 3 lil bumps i need to tap it with the hammer.....

    Also some pictures of the doors the brown you see is the original brown paint is just started to strip the paint and the last pictures is what UPS dropped at work, some classic datsun ZG fender flares...

I got up early in the morning got to the junk yard car still there started to look for the latch no luck its was the older model with the lock inside the door but there was another car that i saw went to check it woooooooooooooowhoooooooooooo same as my 240z doors latch....I took the rear hatch with glass and the 2 doors complete with everything went to go pay and i got everything for $111.80......their FVck!ng heavy than the 240z but there straighter than the ones i have which means less body filler .....

  6. I post before regarding some deep waves on my 240z i went to the junk yard found a 260z with strait doors and good hatch just wanted to know if they will fill cause im going tomorrow for them.. Im talking the old ones too to check if there the same.. as for the hatch the 240z hatch has waves also i was putting bondo but did not like how it was turning out so i also found the hatch of the 260z great condition... if the doors fit do i take the whole door with glass and all the mechanism or i don't need the glass....i also found a 280zx turbo basterds took the head damn .....OH and there was also a complete 90 supra turbo motor it was the 7m something like that............

  7. That project is going to cost you alot of money i see alot of rust... Im restoring my own 240z i don't even want to start adding up the receipts cause it going to be alot...an my car didn't have as much rust as yours...out off the top of my head i have spent around $4,000 dollars and im still doing body work....$900 71 240z and Media blast $1,380 Mig welder$500 and other cutting grinding tools.............paints,spray equipment.....If your goin to fix the car you have i would recomend that you media blast the shell since there is alot of rust you will be able to tell how really bad is shell
