  1. Assuming you have an RB26 with 8000rpm redline, 245/45/16 wheels and a stock R33 GTS-T gearbox then it will come down to how much power you have and how good your aero is.

Reason I say this is you'll never reach your top geared speed which would be 223mph with the above setup.

Thank you I found a speed to gear ratio calculator. 3.54 would be nice but to cruise in 5th gear at 120km/h lower rpm better mpg for a daily hehe.

  2. Its good to have more options but wolfcreeks cost 900$ and are bolt on indestructable, stubs are 200$ at 1100$ you have axels on your R200 add a KAAZ at 900$ and you have a great setup. PS that is what I have. I cant wait to see if your setup works it is ALWAYS good to have more options keep up the reaserch maybe youll end up with something awesome.

  3. Putting a google search bar that does the *XYZ* site:hybridz.org would help find stuff faster imo. I am not from the old crowd but I found over the time that this site has been linked quite alot on other forums for people wanting RB specific info and it brings the wrong crowd wanting to get the info spoon fed to them. We are victims of our great knowledge base. I think it is ok to be more "agressive" against lazy new comers.

  4. Hi im trying to find out the sense the oil is going in and out of my cooler. I dont have any arrows on it or any indication whatsoever. I got this cooler from a guy on GTRC forum for my RB26 and he didnt know where it came from it was on his car when he imported it. My guess is on the photo below top comes form cooler bottom is out from engine. Please if anyone has a idea it will be welcome.

  5. so i've been doing some searching and just trying to find a straight forward answer on transmissions...

when doing an rb swap, you need a rb25det trans correct? now if that trans ever destroys it's internals, i can use the internals from a z32? This is where I just keep getting confused because i see z32 thrown around so much when talking about the rb swaps. Also, the final drive of these trans match the stock 240z rear diff or am I having to use the rb25 rear diff as well? Only the drive train area is what's concerning me on this swap and I find it hard to find a straight forward answer. Thanks

Yes you can use the internals from the Z32 the RB25-26 and Z32 are basiclly the same I got that from NICO forums and if you look at F.A.S.T. the parts have the same number. The fact that the Z32 gets thrown around alot is because in the sticky their is a thread about using a Z32 tranny on a RB25 bellhousing. Further report showed that the shaft lenght diffrence is negligable so you dont need the swap input shafts. Read it its a great post. I am using a Z32 tranny with a RB26 bellhousing its a simple swap couple bolts swing the hammer take it off swap bolt back up done ! Read the sticky.

  6. Hi everyone, Im just writting this to show what i have done to shorten my shifter bracket so it can poke through in the cab its basicly free if you weld. So here are the pictures i took.

First we have the original brace marked for the cutting.

    SDC12822-1.jpg

Then I cut completely the shaft form the linkage.

    SDC12823-1.jpg

Then rewelded everything at work grinded and painted. You will have the grind a little under the brace so that it doesnt hit the linkage.

    The linkage shorten and welded.

    The underside of it all.

    Top view.

Basiclly I just cuted then reweld in between the "legs" easy as 123. I wish i had kept the picture of when I had it cutted Ill search for them and post them later if i find them.

Hope it helps some else for a cheap almost free solution to shifter relocation.
