the diagram that Ron posted is very helpfull, and so is a full car diagram, thats what i used when i put my l28 in my suzuki samurai. i diddnt have a factory service book if you have one thats the best book ever (i now have one). it really only takes about 4 wires to make the motor run, and mine starts up and will run all day till it runs out of gas. if i were to do it again i would go megasquirt, i think that it is easier to work. good luck Jeremy

well it is simple i just needed a datsun driveline and i made this: then cut the splines off the driveline and pressed them into the center and it looks like this: it wasnt that hard

ok i got my engine running again and now it doesnt start all to well and when it revs up it revs super slow,when it has no load it revs slow and when im driving it doesnt rev past like 3000rpm, so what do you guys think the problem is? thanks jeremy

so i need a new head now they found 7 cracks in it, one between each valve and a huge on going from the exh. valve to the coolant hole on cyl 3. so where would be a good place to get a head? junkyard? and is there a better head than the n47? more durable? thanks guys Jeremy

thanks for all the input. so far i took it all apart and then checked the head for warpage but since i diddnt have a good straight edge i diddnt get a good measurment so i took it down to the machine shop and will get it back tommorow. so we will see how it looks, the timing cover looks like new so i dont think thats the problem, what are the chances of the block being warped? and the timing chain needed to be replaced so while i was in there i decided to that so hopefully it will be fixed and running good

so i think that i may have a blown head gasket....... i need to know what to look for, like my oil that looks like a milkshake, and lots of water coming out of the exhaust..... it sounds like one to me but what do you guys think? are they hard to replace? expensive? thanks Jeremy

hello guys is there a high flow water pump for a '78 l28? as some of you my know i put it in a samurai and had to put the radiator in the back and drove it around and now i dont think that the water pump has the guts to push that much back there thanks

ok guys i put my buddys L28 in my suzuki samurai and now i have the task of wiring it, i have the fuel injection harness and the engine bay harness i got the fuel harness hooked up and working but the rest is confusing me i need to know what to hook up to my battery to power up that transistor box i think, there is a red, green, , black with a white stripe, and a fat blue hooked to a skinny blue wire comming from it. do i need the dash harness to get this thing running or do i have what i need? thanks guys

ok im in need of some parts you guys, i need the engine wiring harness for a '78 280z if anyone has one and would be willing to part with it it would be a blessing. also where can i get the wiring diagrams for the car? like a website or something, i need all the help i can get to get this motor running.... i need the parts because my friend swapped the l28 out for a rb25det and he gave me the l28. he left for college and lost the harness so now i need it for my project, i have the ecu but nothing else thanks guys
