That's a good deal if you need cheap paint.
I have alot of money tied up in interior, suspension, wheels and tires, engine rebuild, so this paint was perfect for what i needed. Im willing to bet this stuff will last at least 5 years or more. See the car up above in BayAreaZT's signiture pic, well i painted that car more than 6 years ago with nason synthetic enamel back. I think he recently had to rebuff it but it still looks good overall. Im happy with my cheap paint

BigJim,
Do you have a link for the paint please? What name brand is the paint sold under?
thanks,
Ernie/RacerX
Here ya go man, he has alot of different colors, plus dont let the price fool you because its good paint for the price!

I have a set of 17x7's with 205/40/17's. The color is omaha orange, i bought it from that guy who sells paint on ebay. Its single stage acrylic enamel, and very good quality. Ive used nason, western, sherwin williams and a few other off brand single stage paints and this stuff i used on this car is one of the best. I'll use it again!

I have a t3 and its junk. Got ripped off on ebay and now im low on funds. I was told it was good when it was pulled, but it has tons of play in the shaft. Anyone have a good usable t3 laying around they would sell or donate? Any help is appreciated.

Good job! Are you going to sand and polish it?? If you have 3-4 good coats of clear, you should be able to wet sand it with a block 800grit, then 1000, then 1500. It will get rid of all the dirt specs and the orange peel. Wet sanding especially with a block (stick or soft block) is pretty easy, just very time consuming (be careful of burning through on body lines). Buffing and polishing is a lot harder especially when trying to remove swirls. Good Luck
RC
My buddy is doing the color sanding and buffing. I'll be helping with the sanding, im gona stick with 1000 then 1500. He will then buff it out, i dont trust myself to do it. I waiting to assemble the whole car first.

clean, yeah i can already picture my 240, and i haven't even got it. What part of Cali. you in, and what engine you got in it. Looks like an l28et, but i didn't look to hard.
I was i san bernardino ca. But moved to las vegas. I havent changed my location on the site. Its a f54 l28et block, p79 head with carbs. Its temporary though. I'll be bolting on a turbo and mega squirt setup soon.

ahh well in that case, cool. You going black inside? That would look hella clean when finished. Nice color too.
Oh ya, black interior (i have all new interior already) Satin black front spoiler, satin black rear tail light panel with silver wheels.
I can already picture it

why didn't you take out the dash or at least tape it off? And what part of So. Cal. you in, cause i'd love to see it when i get back down there....nice otherwise.
Dash is getting replaced, so i didnt care. I have a nice uncracked one waiting in the closet. My guest bedroom looks like the warehouse area at msa

Ya, its a soilid color and everything matches perfect. I have it home in the garage now. I'll start reassemly on the weekend. I need 2 more experienced 240z guys to help me put it together.
-
Looks awesome... just one question.
With all the work you obviously put into it... how you come you left the tail lights in when you sprayed?
Very nice paint job though, looks good!
Got lazy i guess LOL never even thought about it really.
-
you buy that from the guy on ebay with the 35.00 paint?
Yes, i sure did! Its good stuff and ive painted a few cars with his paint. I bought my own hardener and reducer locally. I painted a car 2 years ago with the same omaha orange, and it still looks as good as the day it rolled out of the booth!
-
Looks great, very jealous. Is that your booth, or a friends, or a shops? Did you spray it?
I rented the booth and yes i sprayed it.
-
Nice Color!!
What Is It Called?
Omaha orange.
-
Its getting a fiber glass satin black front spoiler, 17 inch silver wheels and chrome bumpers. Should be a sharp 240z.

Heading to the booth

Im not on there really ... Im sometimes on Zdriver.com or My350Z.com as I use to have a 03 350Z, but have since sold it to get a Evo IX (the evo is my main car).
OT: Do you guys know of anyone in town that dose Media Blasting or Dipping? As thats the next big step for my car.
I dont have a contact for media blasting, but im sure there must be a place. I would call a few body shops and see what they tell you.

Your in Vegas too? So am I! I just started on my project this week.
Cool to see some other z guys in las vegas. We have to meet up some time. Ever check out Sincityz.org? I post there some times, but the place is usually pretty slow.

Fedex lost the package, I'm guessing there was really some sort of part in there. I'll never know. Calls and emails to SHowcars have gone unanswered.
Maybe I'll send another email, like it will do some good. I knew better going in.
So fed ex will be paying you some money, correct?
Anyone upgrade there t3 and have the old one laying around?
