  1. Started up my 240z with l28 "f54" for the first time in over a few months after being down for carb rebuild, and after a few minuets of running I noticed a nice leak from the bell housing on the trans and the block, it's dripping right out of the bottom. Not coming from freeze out plug on back of head. It is coming from something on the back of block, and i don't know if there is a freeze out plug on the back of the block or not. And I have searched for a few hours now and can't find all freeze out plug locations or if it's even that. Any help will be greatly appreciated, thank you.
  2. Im looking for all four "front and rear" 240z strut tubes that havent been messed with. Maybe you're parting a z out,Let me know what you have. thanks
  3. Yeah, I think I'm going to just buckle down and scoop up a MSA, guess it is worth it in the long run, being new and all.. Thanks for the tip
  4. @kuro, could you tell me who sells that spoiler? Or if one off? Your car is such motivation to get mine out and about! Thank you!
  5. Thanks, I'm just going to probably try to fab up something, I put the two brass bushings in today, and may try to rig up something underneath them to hold them at the top. But probably end up buying the right stuff lol. Would you happen to know what the spring is for in the plastic piece that comes in the zx shifter? Is it so you can push down to go into reverse?
  6. For the eairly z style shifter? Or zx like im looking for?
  7. I'll check that out, thank you I really want to stay with the shifter I have it's been cut and bent and sits really well, so trying to find the plastic rectangle Bushing for the zx shifter instead of getting a z shifter..
  8. Not sure if this would fall in this category, but I have a question about the Bushing in the shifter of a "b 5 speed transmission?" I believe it is. I bought this 71 240z and it has a f54 l28 and a 5 speed, the shifter is very lose so I searched around and found the trick of getting door hinge repair brass Bushing and putting it on, so went get those at local store, and came back and took everything apart to find out it's the shifter with the yellow rectangle type Bushing.. And to my surprise its not even on it.. Like they forgot to put it on. So the little brass Bushings won't work because the hole in the shifter is rectangle.. so main question is where do I find the plastic yellow rectangle piece? Junkyard? Any other cars besides the s30 and s130z's? I think I heard something about the s12? Thank you
  9. P.s also it's a 240z stock front sheet metal valance, and is pretty near perfect in my opinion, few scratches at bottom but still red and rust free
  10. Yeah, send me some pictures I may be interested Thanks
  11. Bump, can throw in stock rust free 240z valance
  12. Didnt get a pm..try again, how much you looking for them?
  13. Looking for some used or new s13 megan coilovers. thanks
  14. Don't plan to scrape frame rails. Just low enough to slightly tuck tire on my 16's. (if that)
  15. Do you have a run down of your set up? Thanks
  16. Crazy octopus is where I seen the issue that I know nothing about besides what he said: http://crazyoctopi.blogspot.com/2010/05/day-1-front-install.html?m=1 Shows a picture of it half way down of the sway bar close to the tirod end. Yeah I know! Haha jack this crap up, put some Gator mudders on it and put that lift kit on it! Huge flag waving on the back? Auuumaaarrrriiicaaaaaa!!! "shrug"
  17. Haha yeah, safe and dry man, Didn't get any water damage "thankfully" But just alittle wind damage, luckily like the only house on the block with power.. Thanks for asking!
  18. Put a shim on the sway bar mount Or crossmember? Haha I've driven slammed cars and it is a pain in the ass, exapecally over here in lousiana, but just have to take it slow, and hope you're not in a rush or the person behind you. I plan to do the full bushing kit, maybe front and rear sway bars, and just nick nacks. Not necessarliy for performance gains, but more as to restore the car and give it a more of a newer car feel. AND since there is a track now over here, may possibly track it once in a while.. So kinda just building it over the means of a street car just to have that "protection" if oneday drive off the street onto the track.
  19. What I'm looking to do is run Megan or other brands, 240sx coilovers with welded on strut tubes and camber plates, all that jazz. Just wondering if the lower I go will the sway bar get closer to anything? Or am I just like you said "mixing oranges and apples" I really appreciate what info you have just gave me.
  20. Quick question for someone who has coilovers installed or knows about it. I know the whole concept of cutting the z strut tubes and welding thread tube on, but my question is I've heard that if you put coilovers on and you go more then 3' lower then stock ride hight your lower control arms and tirod ends? Will clash together or something? I may have the wrong parts in my head but I heard "something" hits when lowered a lot. I'm just trying to collect parts to lower my z "no not trying to be all hellaflush" just trying to make a good handling and track ready z plus look a little less 4x4. Yes I've done countless searches, and really was hoping to find some info out on this so I won't have to ask, but it came down to this. Thank you!
  21. I used the company on eBay, they sell alot of weather stripping, and I got the windshield and hatch glass weather stripping and I couldn't be happier, the price was very cheap also in my opinion.. Only 55$ I was very pleased, I strongly suggest it to anyone. P.s stores called "amautoparts" just typed in 240/280z weather, and it popped up.
  22. I mean from Orlando
