I am the kind of guy that's says good big or go home!! LOL!! I get steel at wholesale and if figured if my big butt is going to be crawling around in side the z while building the cage go overkill I have only $250 into the rotisserie w/ casters and about 4 hours of build time. Going to hopefully get the pass side floor done tonight. Then I will get some pics posted.

Well the holidays kinda put a hold on things bug got me a change to get a few things for my arsenal to get the Z done.
My awesome family all chipped on and bought me a 60 gal air compressor. Then I also picked up a metal brake, an air ram for my tube bender, & a nice vise. Started building the floor pans last night. Will take some pics later of those was too dark to get good pics.
Here are some pics of the tools!!!

I have a series 1 drive shaft. Make me an offer!

Started building new frame rails tonight. Got the pass side floor all prepped and ready for the new floor pans and frame rails I am building from scratch. The frame rails connect into the rear sub frame. So should be a nice stiff chassis once I am done.
Here are some pics. Enjoy!

Well its official. Got the car on the rotisserie. Here are some pics.
Enjoy

It's only surface rust. But yes I am stripping the whole body and then POR all the areas of the car that are covered and also the whole under carage.
-
So I am back at it again finally. Got all the suspension out of the car so now the car is a bare shell except the steering colum is still in. Built most of the front head for the rotisserie tonight. Turned out really good.
Enjoy
And a little shot of the new wheels

Today went to pick and pull and found a 76 z with head I am looking for. Picked up the N42 head. Seems to be in really good shape. Going to be putting a little bit of money into it once I get to that point

Sorry I haven't put up any updates. Will start working on the car again this weekend some. Did gears and air lockers in my dads jeep a couple weeks ago and when driving it to break in the gears his 401 amc broke a valve spring and bent a handful of push rods. So I had to do a half top end rebuild all new valve springs and push rods. He is back up and going so now my z can get some attention

Started to build the rotisserie today. A little over kill but want to know I can get in the car while doing the full cage. Will be building the heads for the rotisserie in a few days hopefully. Hard to say. Have to put gears and air lockers in my dads Jeep this weekend. So if not diffenitly next week
Enjoy

Very clean!! Very sweet!! What kind of caster are you running and what spring rates? Also can you use your windows in the doors or are they removed do to door bar clearance?
Again very sweet and clean!!

If you are going to race the car don't tint it if not and just showing and driving 20% tint.

Thanks for the info on the tool. Will have to try it out for sure. Still have to do the whole underside of my car.
-
Lookin good. Post a pic of that tool. My hands hurt from using a wire wheel on my grinder.
-
Thanks. Which tool are talking about. I have been using a wire wheel w/ the grinder and yea it is taking for ever. The mess isn't too bad I put tarps down to catch most of the mess. Still need to do the fenders, hood, deck lid and doors. So diffenitly want to try that tool.

Well trying to keep busy until I build the rotisserie for the car. So I built a RT mount today

Havent had much time to wok on the beast for about week. Finally got to work on her yesterday. Finished stripping the rest of the paint of the rear quarters and rear of the car. Beat out the dents in the roof and discovered that the right rear section of the rocker has seen better days. More patch work

Do search for the head you have. There is a ton of stuff under the engine section on heads
