I had the same thing happen in an old motor. I took it to a machine shop and had the damaged area welded back up to accept the key. Hope this helps. It is however hard to tell from your pic how bad the damage is.

Wont be long before my snowmobile is out...If you havent riden a fast snowmobile (mine is a 680cc 2 stroke triple) you are missing out on a crazy adrenaline rush.

Hey Quentin...Andrew from Ottawa (formerly known as StrokerZ). Did you end up using the "venom" injectors? Just to let you know...I had my new set of 720cc (TLF performance selling "venom" products) tested before I put them in the car and one of the injectors was bad...by bad I mean the spray pattern of one of the six injectors was horrible and it was about -15% difference in flow from the rest. Just a heads up. The company was however very quick to rectify the situation with another injector. The ride looks great! Snow coming tomorrow here in Ottawa:fmad:
