  1. I love the two light look. (so did Enzo , take a look at early Ferrari's) Here is a pic of mine it might help you with final spacing. I played around with all different positions and I am still not sure if I like this one the best. But hey! the resin is set up now, lol! Thought you might like to see mine incase you want to move yours around. I also placed mine behind the panel and glassed back into them to give that frenched in look. Your hard work is showing. Good Luck, Mike
  2. I agree with Jon(cut the bottom), although if you have aftermarket springs don't they already lower the car? I also put urathane bump stops in at this point, its a life saver on pot holes. My Z still has a way smoother ride than my Honda Fit with 17" wheels and 45 series tires.
  3. I cut 1.5 coils off front and rear. I also moved my front strut insulators to the rear = minus another 3/4". I then fabbed new ones for the front cutting down the old rears.
  4. Scrambling to get her back together after the turbo swap. To do list includes hooking up electric fan relays, waiting for my rear brake brackets, waiting for my down pipe flange to get the exhaust fabbed. Covering the top framework will have to wait, since I'll be bringing her down in the car trailer anyway. If anyone wants to bring a change of tires or tools for the autocross, let me know I'll have a little extra room. Lets Go!, Mike
  5. Thanx for the input guy's... every now and then you go through life thinking you new something than wham! it hits you. Your not as think as you smart you are. LOL! I always thought the "limited" in limited slip meant your rear end would lock up in a strait line but free wheel one side or the other through the corners. I have had several vehicles that have only spun a single side no matter how you pointed them.
  6. ? Jon... does a non LSD diff leave two burn out marks? I will research this but I do believe both 75's and 76's came with r200's that had some type of "posi" system.
  7. I'm holding out for suicide doors...ok somebody make um ...I'm waiting.
  8. I have had two 76's and they both had stock lsd's that would leave beautiful dual patches where ever I went.....ahh bliss.
  9. nice job man...you at the top of Chinook pass there?
  10. Duuuude! I so wanna thrash a ugly WRX like that.
  11. figured it out guys. to voltage regulators make this happen. internal on the zx alt and the external one left in my 76 harness.
  12. Beware the run on! found my problem. zx internal voltage regulator reacting to my external one still in the stock harness of my 76 caused the constant hot to the coil. I hear that you can disconnect the stock regulator and hook up a diode or two and then use the higher amp zx alternator. I switched back for now.
  13. Ok, so I am doing 83 turbo swap in my 76. I got her wired up and hooked up fuel lines and I just couldn't stand it, I had to see if she would fire....WOW! a strong steady rumble....Oh no! she wont shut off with key (panic hits) Lets see? ... no coolant, no exhaust, loose wires everywhere... OUCH! as I pull the coil wire... Dam that was cool!... now just got to figure which switched power wire is hooked up to a constant hot (this is my best guess anyway) ... Any Ideas would be great thanx. __________________
