  2. The door post on my 77 280Z says it weighs 3203 lbs.
That's GVWR (gross vehicle weight rating) not curb weight. GVWR is how much the car would weigh with the maximum load it should carry (manufacturer recomended). So if the cars curb weight is 2800 lbs and GVWR is 3200 the manufacturer recomends you dont carry more than 400 lbs in the vehicle.
  3. Boy from OZ,

I believe and may be some one else can get my back here... That the other fuel line that goes to the engine bay is not a fuel return line but, I'm guessing for a cold start injector in the TB.

Good info on this thread .

The only other fuel related line that goes to the engine bay is the EVAP line from the charcoal canister...its solely for emissions. There's no cold start injector on these motors.

  4. When I was checking out the setups and fitment, I determined that 4.9" of BS would probably rub the spring perches, are you running copilovers or is it just really really close? Also at full lock I was anticipating issues unless a 205 or 215 was used. The rears should fit no problem as that is a very forgiving area.

My 8.5s are very close to the stock springs but fit nicely...I had to do a lil hammering to the stock metal air dam so the tires wouldn't snag it when turning. The rubbing that goes on is only in the rear on heavy dips and corners and its rubbing on the outside edge of the tires. I think some 225s or 215s would solve that...maybe even another brand of tire. Steering effort is noticeably increased (as expected) BTW.

  5. nice.

but i think you're going to need something bigger or stickier than that.

    loved the vids.

    love the car!

    you aint kiddin...and Thank you!

Yea, I know it is harsh. But being the guy who has to go notify loved ones that their little Johnny or Susie is not coming home because they were killed in a car crash it is hard to see people posting street racing videos on a forum where most of the admins do not condone that type of action.

You can live your own life but remember your actions affect more than just you.

Being SAFE is all I want for all people on the roads.

    Tom

Sorry Tom, I'm 31 now and have been "having fun" for around 10 years. No wrecks no tickets no problems...knock on wood. I would much rather keep it on the track but in my area the track is a 1-2 hour drive, is only open like once a month and you usually only get about 3 runs due to how many people are there. Until they open some tracks in this area I and others will continue to street race.

  6. LOL your funny. It is registered. I do race at the track. I'm not proving anything...just having fun. Have a nice day.:2thumbs:

So you are driving an unregistered car while street racing. If you get caught don't complain when you go to jail.

You have been to the track to race in a safe, legal environment so you can test your car.

I guess the rest is just to get your rocks off or prove your manhood.

    Tom
