  1. I found this in an old thread "The instrument gages turn on with solid black connected to (-) and (+) on either red/blue or green". Could it be that the red/blue is your black/red ? The red/ blue is for the dimmer....

    Thnx admins

This by far is the most informed and well maintained site on the net that I have had the pleasure of watching. I used to be on a few car sites but now this is my only one. The admin have done a wonderful job of keeping subjects on topic and moving certain subjects to their proper place.GREAT JOB GUYS.....

  7. Last name is Cook and I have a 240z, I am cooks280z on all other sites (in memory of my dearly de-part-ed 280z:mad: that was crushed by the trailer it was being towed on, 220 miles into a 290 mile trip to paint it and install a fiberglass front end:cry2: ) but just got the 240z back from the sandblaster and there is no passenger side engine bay left to weld to wife will not let me keep it @#$$%$%^^ she saw it first and flipped out .
  8. disconnect the battery after you start the car. does it still run? and if so check if the alternator is sending any juce to the battery terminal. that will help you elemiinate the cause.
  9. Looks so much better than mine. nice work..

  11. Well, my 240z po installed the entire harness in to the frame rails. which worked great (I guess) untill he let the rails rust out which in turn started a fire and finished the rest of the harness off:icon8: . I started at the tail lights and worked forward using aircraft relays and stereo fuse blocks IN THE CAR so I will never have that problem again. If you do commercial HVAC&R do like OTM did and draw it out. and do not forget the fuel pump or the tag light:cool: .
  12. i was getting ready to remove the driver side door and the rear deck. car since then has all but the trans and engine removed for full tear down..
  13. I have just found this site and i love it, but now for the car it has been sitting next to my dads house in West palm beach, for 3 years and rotting. I was finally able to talk the wife in to putting it in the garage at my house in Jacksonville 3 weeks ago:icon10: . I have removed the original fenders and the original doors in these pic's. I will be putting it on a rotissery in a week. the engine in the pic's will not be staying in the car it and the suspension is all thats left of my 77 280Z. well here it is........ I know it needs a lot of work but it is time well spent.. sorry about the size of the file the car is on pic 199. 240z zip.zip
  14. Ok, if you plan on painting or continous use with a grinder look for a 2 1/2 hp RUNNING and the CFM should be 8 or better at 90 psi. the one that you have will work for a while. If you want it for hobby use once in a while it is good. if you trade it for another one get a belt driven pump they last much longer and will out perform a self-enclosed compressor any day. so check the RUNNING Horsepower and the CFM at the highest setting either 90psi or 120psi.. Hope this helps.. 71 240Z restoration in progress. 77 280Z The love of my life. 83 280zx past flame 84 300zx problems from the start.
