  1. ok, i think i need help here, drove the car today and everything was ok after adjusting the clutch, no slipping no nothing, was driving for almost 20 minutes, then the car started to sound really weird and black somke, i lost power but not alot and at low RPM, the car cuts and gains power.. is it my spark plugs? i have my new TR6 NGK plugs....do you guys think i should try the stock plugs?? if so, what gap is recommended with NOS?? 150HP shot?? help thanks
  2. stangracer,....thanks for the comlpements, i think i'll be able to finish any Z with a ford swap now in 3 monthes or maybe less than that but you'll pay around 5000 bucks just for shipping the car to kuwait and back to the states..LOOL.. ....i'm using slave cylinder but i'm having problems adjusting it, today drove the car a bit, at the begining, it was ok, then started to have problems shifting, when i got back home, i wasn't able to shift at all i'll have to look at it tomorow...is there any slave cylinder conversion for the 5.0?? because i'm using a slave cylinder from a benz... thanks
  3. i agree at 100% i dont really like it, but the engine is sittin few inches higher than the L28, i had to use a cowl hood....i wanted a sleeper looking Z , but now my Z is far away from beeing a sleeper type
  4. yeah, i saw it and i love it too, maybe for my next combo any comments on my ride? good ones, bad ones??
  5. hi guys, my Z is ready at 95%, today, i changed my spark plugs, wires, dis cap, cleaned up all the mess inside the engine bay, installed my NOS system but didnt try it yet while driving, drove the car for 20 minutes, everything sounds good, raced a LS1 camaro, only first and second gear, i was a head by 3 cars length maybe:) knowing that the car is not tuned yet, the clutch has to be adjusted and spins like Hell.....photos photos i know the car is not clean enough, but it was raining this whole afternoon, the ENGINE is clean though your comments please thanks
  6. heey nice combo and great job on the 8.8 rear....keep us posted and cant wait to see the finished project
  7. i think you will be able to mount the driver's seat on the tranny tunnel Mike LOOL
  8. thanks alot guys for the compelemnts Gearheadstick, 280z i have to say, even if i had a 240z, i think i would have switched to the 280z front end style and a custom made airdam like i did to my 500z...well, thats my opinion.
  9. yeah, now he's man enough to get a Hybrid Z
  10. darling, what is this? aaaahhhhhh, well we use it to adjust the shifter LOOOOL
  11. do you like this? instead of the 2 openings that i have, i would do one long opening so the intercooler could breath enough....
  12. hi guys, a question for whoever used these tires before, what is the best pressure for street and track, been told 30psi for the street and 20psi for the track, does that sound good??
  13. heheheheh thanks sven, well my car will be ready in 2 days,,, thats exactly 3 monthes from the day i started my Ford swap.... 3 monthes is a record i think. and no thanks, no halfway torn apart car for me i do it fast, simple and the right way drove the car today, i think i have to adjust the clutch because in 2nd and 3rd gear, the RPM goes up but the car is not running at full speed, on the other hand, 1st gear is good, spins like hell but still i was stuck in my seat, i think with my drag radials and NOS, i'm definetly gonna break my axles
  14. looks like??? i'm 100% sure that he did the burn out in his garage
  15. yeah you r right sven, i think im gonna enjoy it like this for now and i'll think about a combo later
  16. hehehehe ok msayar...... i'll be waiting for you
  17. hi guys, i've just recieved my new tires, hope they will hook the way i want them to tires themselves were not expensive (107 bucks each) but shipping from Ohio to Newyork to Kuwait is, i payed 230 bucks for the shipping
  18. hi guys, im happy and not at the same time, got my car back from the cleaning polishing place, they did a hell of a job to polish the car and they cleaned the interior and the engine, the interior looks like a 2007 car, engine too but i wasnt able to start the car easily, i had to almost floor the pedal to start it, then heavy black smoke came out, the idle is not correct and the car doesn't sound right, then the RPM was stuck on 2000 maybe without touching the pedal??? i said ok its the distributer that caught a little of their cleaning product, opened it, cleaned and dryed it, waited for 2 hours maybe, then fired the car and BOOOOOOOOM, sounded like an explosion inside my engine bay, no smoke, no nothing, tryed to start it again and NO WAY GOOD NEWS THOUGH......the car looks awesome and another good news: i recieved my new tires, BFGoodrich's drag radilas thats all for today, still needs to install the rear lights, door panels and door locks, and see whats wrong with my engine if everything goes like i want, i will visit the dyno place next weeks for test and tune......
  19. what do you mean by "dont get greedy at the bottom"???
  20. guys is it worth it to port the stock heads and get a new E cam for my current combo?? will i see a change? even a small change would make me happy?? thanks
  21. Hi Ed, thanks for the complements, and im really happy that you enjoyed what im doing, 398RWHP is a great number for a street car, imagine that on a Z with a 150HP shot of NOS actualy, 400 to the wheels is what i'm looking for on my Z....for now, i guess i'll stick with my stock engine, maybe just an E cam and a port/polish job for stock heads (ist worth it???).....i'm a bit worried about my diff, i have the open R200 with stock axles.....my ride will be a finished project by sunday or monday, i'll drive it and see how it goes, i'll keep you posted guys, thanks again ED
  22. OMG.......i wonder if my open R200 diff will support this amount of torque
