  1. hi guys,

i have a small question about electric fans, since the space between my new rad and my crank pully is very tight, i'm thinking about getting a new electric fan, i noticed on sites that they say pull or push type, what is pull type and what is push type?

if the fan is mounted between the rad and the engine, what type should i have to flow the air toward the engine? and if mounted between the rad and the frontend, what type is needed in this case?

    thanks,

P.S. does anybody know if they make slim Efans?

  2. hi Ed, well my Water pump is a highflow pump that turns both directions, clocklwise and counterclockwise, so i dont think its a problem anymore :)

and BTW, your son's engine looks great, good job on the install.

    keep up the good work

  3. hi guys,

i had few hours to use yesterday and i installed the new water pump, cleaned the surface around it and painted it in gray, modified the alternator bracket and painted it too, had the radiator mounts fabricated and welded on the rad.

i'll use some 4mm rubber piece under the mounts not to mount it directly on the body, my only problem now is the Electric Fan, it will not fit easily between the rad and the crank pully, the only way to make fit now is to mount it more to the drivers side and not in the middel, i thought about cutting few mm from the crank pully but i dont think its a good idea.

    what do you guys think?

  4. I used an 7/8" master cylinder (MC) from Wilwood (WIL-260-6765) and it's good while driving, a bit stiff but i'm used to it. i dont know how a bigger MC would feel but i'm happy with this setup for now knowing that i haven't floored or sprayed the car yet.

David K thanks for the kind words about my ride, i'm not sure if you are asking Ed or asking me about the SSI intake but to be honest, i've never driven a mustang with the SSI intake on it, but i've never had problems with BBK's products at all, if i build another ford engine, i'll definatly go with the SSI intake/fuel rail combo from BBK.

  5. well, i dont want to start a new photos thread of my car so i'll just post them here, few weeks ago, i bought a new clutch setup and modified the SC to make it fit,

    another one

this is it for my clutch upgrade. now i'm working on my cooling system, got new high flow water pump, griffin 24*19 radiator, 160degree t-stat, swivel t-stat housing, i'm trying to do my best but got no time to work on the car :( because of my job.

    thanks

  6. Justin, thanks for the advice, since this is my first aluminum rad, i'm not familiar with them, i was thinking about a soild mount, i'll check the JTR mounts, if not, i'll just fabricate some here in kuwait with rubber support

VinhZXT, well, yesterday i was chekin the space and how to mount it, i'm not really sure that i have enough space to make a shroud, i'm not even sure if i'll be able to mount the fan between the rad and the water pump pully, my engine is not sitting all the way to the back, so space between rad and pully is tight. i'll see how it goes and post photos when its installed.

    thanks again for the advice

  7. hi guys,

Flow Kooler high flow water pump/ 160degree high flow thermostat/ griffin 24*19 radiator were ordered today :-) should receive them here in kuwait in 5-7 days :-)

thanks for all your help guys

hi guys, parts received today :-)

i took everything out of the car except for one Water pump bolt :-(

this thing is stuck, i tryed everything but i cant remove it. i'll be trying again today, and than i'll install all the new stuff :-) but still i have to fabricate mounts for the radiator.

  8. Welcome to HybridZ!

nice looking Z you got, looks clean and love the red interior :)

ok lets get down to business, forget about your engine, get the 5.0 mounts, find a nice 5.0 at the junkyard, get an eagle 331 stroker, AFR 185s, 51012 Lunati cam, TKO 500, 8.8 narrowed with 4.10 ratio and ........

    "ALI.... SHUT UP''

what?? am i talking alot? LOOL :)

    welcome again to HybridZ dude.

  9. nice engine bay :) looks very clean, as for the rearend, i would recommend a ford 8.8/31 spline axels, it could handle as much power as the 9'' and you will save few pounds because the 9'' is heavy. for the engine, i aint wiring freak but i'll always go with an LSx over anyother engine.
