  1. Hey guys I tried asking over on some of the 240sx forums and didnt get a warm welcome about this, so I thought I would ask here. Anyone familar with this swap? Anyone have any info on Hinson Super Cars? http://www.hinsonsupercars.com/ One guys on Zilvia.net said Is it really heavier then the KA it replaces? If so how much? The Hinson site says its 128lbs lighter but people told me thats a lie, but they where not able to tell me the real weights. Thanks for any help in advance!
  2. Hey guys have just started on the long road of building up my project car. 4. Yea in Japan and here in the States they are having a lot of financial problems.
  5. Thank you very much! This is just want Im looking for
  6. The guys at Full-Race always do top notch work ... I run some of their parts on my Evo and Geoff over there has been the most helpful person I have ever delt with in this industry.
  7. Apexi is going out of business in Japan so I would steer clear of their parts. Might want to check out HKS FCon Pro, but im pretty sure that can only be tunned by HKS Pro Dealers. Another option is to check out the AEM EMS.
  8. Cool. So as soon as its done being blasted just spray it or brush it? I saw someone talking about PPG etching primer is that good? They where talking about how its a single coat brush on.... not too sure thou.
  9. Good info. I have seen people strip cars and then send them to chemical stripping after to get all the small parts, but it seemed like a lot of work. I'll do a search like you said and read up on the stripping methods.
  10. They quoted me $1200 - $1800 for soda blasting ...thats about $600 more then I thought.
  11. Thanks for all the info guys .... I'll check out that soda blasting place here in Vegas and see what they have to say. Anyone have any idea of what I should expect to pay? Also after its blasted do they coat it to prevent new rust or do I need to spray it or take it some where to be sprayed? Sorry for the noob questions ... just want to do it right the first time.
  12. OT: what wheels are those on the side of your bed ... THey look HOT!
  13. Hey guys where can I find some steel parts to replace the rusted out back areas on my 240z ? I checked out that Tabco link above but didnt see anything listed for the 240 or anything Nissan for that matter.
  14. +1 I need some new fenders!
  15. Hey guys what do you think is better ? Media Blasting or Acid Bath ? also anyone know of any places in Vegas area ???
  16. Yea I can send you mine too if you need them as im in the middle of stripping tha car and wont need them for a few months.
  17. Im not on there really ... Im sometimes on Zdriver.com or My350Z.com as I use to have a 03 350Z, but have since sold it to get a Evo IX (the evo is my main car). OT: Do you guys know of anyone in town that dose Media Blasting or Dipping? As thats the next big step for my car.
  18. Thanks guys for all the info. I think im going to go RB26. For Fab work I was considering taking it to someone but I saw the kit for the RB in the Vendor Forum and showed it to my friend who builds Class 1 trucks in So Cal and he said that it shouldnt be a problem
  19. Anyone know where I can get one for a 240Z ?
  20. Your in Vegas too? So am I! I just started on my project this week. http://streetfaction.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1214
  21. and thats just what I was going before you jumped down my throat. I was really trying to see what in the long run will cost more. If the RB can be done for the same money or less I think I will go with that as I would refer the torque factor of the inline 6 over the 4. Plus it keeps some the nastaglia of original car. Thats why I was trying to make a list of parts needed for the swap so I could price each one out for a total build cost. The RB I have already done that with. and to The Stig .... I never said I could spell
  22. I like how you changed the smart ass V8 comment to the one above I my be a noob to the 240Z but Im not a noob to building cars. I have built several classics with my father growing up like 2 1959 Cads, a 67 Camero, and a few others. On top of it I did all my own work on my current track car (06 Evo IX) so before you judge people should think twice.
  23. Awsome Wheel Tool: http://www.rims-n-tires.com/rt_specs.jsp
  24. Can anyone post a list of vendors that sell aero parts. Im looking personally to keep the stock lines but would like to add a rear spoiler and front air damn that looks circa 70s race carish
  25. so 17x9.5 all the way around? Is anyone running staggered offsets like say 17x9.5 F and 17x10.5 R ? Also Im a noob to backspacing and use to offsets like +15 ect ... so what dose 5" Backspacing equal ? Thanks for you help by the way.
