  1. He is saying best offer but it would cost abit to get it to my house.
  2. Hey guys, is this 510 worth much? The guy says its doesnt have the hood or the doors or the drivers side fender even though it shows in the pics. http://www.imagehosting.com/show.php/211914_IMG0131.JPG.html http://www.imagehosting.com/show.php/211913_IMG0127.JPG.html http://www.imagehosting.com/show.php/211912_IMG0126.JPG.html http://www.imagehosting.com/show.php/211911_IMG0125.JPG.html http://www.imagehosting.com/show.php/211910_IMG0124.JPG.html http://www.imagehosting.com/show.php/211909_IMG0123.JPG.html http://www.imagehosting.com/show.php/211908_IMG0122.JPG.html"][/url]
  3. I have an LT1 with the sanderson block hugger headers and the plugs are really close to the headers. I am kinda worried that they will melt and I was wondering if there is a way to cover them or maybe a diffrent high temp plugs that would work with an LT1.
  4. Heh, you guys were 100% right there was another mounting spot but it had a bolt stuck in it so I had thought it was for something else. Thanks guys for all your replies.
  5. hmm, Ill go take a look but im pretty sure there was only 1 set of mounting holes on the side of the engine. But ill double check to make sure.
  6. I looked on bartmans weppage about his lt1 swap and from the pics he has, compared to mine, it looks like I have the mounts on the right side. What is weird is my right side mount is upside down from what his is. The first pic is of bartmans passenger side. I dont know if this would make a difference.
  7. Yeah I figure I am doing some thing wrong I just cant figure out what it is, I'll try and pm bartman. Here are some additional pics of the mounts and clearance to the firewall.
  8. Hey guys I need some help with my LT1 + 4l60e using the JTR kit, I have looked around and other people havent seem to have the same problem I am having. I tried putting in my engine/transmission in my 75 280z and only one of the mounts will line up with the hole in the mounts on the crossmember and the other one is almost 2 inches off. I looked at the end of the transmission and it seems to be lined up perfectly with the diff. Im not sure what I could be doing wrong, the engine has enough room room around it. The only way I could get it to fit is if the transmission was horribly off. And I have read through the JTR manual several times and made sure that I had the mounts on the right side.
  9. Thats pretty cool knowing that there are z enthusiasts that are close to where I live in Aumsville.
  10. Thank you for all the information. I ended up gettting the complete 5.7l engine from a 1994 caprice + tranny + shipping for around $1300 which is probaly to much, but the newer caprices seem to be harder to find around where I live.
  11. Thats unfortunate, the car I was going to buy was already sold when I called on it. Now I can only find the 91-93 carprices that have the LO5 engine in them in the oregon area.
  12. I didnt know that the differential would be really hard to swap, but that is good to know before I went and ripped apart my car. Also the car im looking at, I believe to be, is a LT-1 because its a 5.7 and it was made in '94 which I have read some where is when they started putting LT-1s in the caprices. Also I guess I 260 hp is not the greatest but I was thinking I could add on to it when I got money and time. I'll also look for something other than a police crusiers as per your guy's recomendations.
  13. Hi, im new to the forums, and I have been searching around on the threads for alot of cheap HP and still get reasonable gas mileage since my 280z will be my daily driver. So I was thinking of buying a 1994 police crusier with 77k miles for around $1500 to swap out the engine, tramission, and differntial on my 280z. What I was wondering is if there is a cheaper/better way to get alot of HP/TQ or possible warnings that you have about this configuration.
