  1. Sorry knuckleduster, I can't help you with price. I just pulled a good half-shaft off my parts car.
  2. I second travrmk''s advice. I had the same problem with my '75 280 and it ended up being the u-joint on my half-shaft.
  3. They sound pretty good, specially when you put your foot into it. Yeah they are cherrybombs. I'll put a video of it when I get some time.
  4. After about 1 year of off and on work I finally figured out what was wrong with my tranny. The problem was it wasnt shifting till it hit the rev limiter and would only shift into 2nd gear and it would never shift back down into first when you came to a stop. So I figured out that it was just the ground wire to the vss had been cut some how when I put the engine in the first time but it only took me 1 year to figure it out. Here are some pictures of it, its pretty ghetto because I dont have much time/money to work on it. And here is my other ride.
  5. Thanks for the replies, Ill try getting some kind of heat blanket and see how it fares. As for the clearance I'm pretty sure its good, I have zero shims in it and if anything it looks like it has to much space. Yeah im running the sanderson block hugger headers so they are pretty close to the starter. The teeth of the flywheel and the starter look pretty good.
  6. Okay, my 350 that I put into my 280z keeps breaking my starters and I dont know why. Im on my fourth starter, they have all be remanufactured ones from autozone. They work for about 10 times then they just stop and they make a very loud shrieking sound when you turn the key or the solined doesnt work. When they do work they work great and the engine fires right up. Im not sure what the specs are on the engine seems the previous owner built it up. Im not sure where I should do I was wondering if I should just purchase a higher torque starter. Any suggenstions would be helpful.
  7. Would the vacuum line for the transmission just hook up to the the manifold? Also do you know how to hook up the kick down for the tranny for the lt1?
  8. I was wondering if the TH350 would just bolt up to the '94 LT1 or if I had to change alot of stuff. I did searching some and didnt find any answers pertaining to what was entailed.
