Anyone have this air dam installed on their Z?

hey everyone, I just recently bought a 240z. I'm using an l28 block from an 83' 280zx, with the original 1973 stock SU carbs. The car has headers, straight 2.5" exhaust, Fireball ignition system, and Accel supercoil, with a 5-speed tranny from a newer ZX. The distributor uses points, which I dont know a whole lot about. But when I first get in the car and start it up, it'll run perfectly, it'll pull to 5000 no problem all the way through the gears, then as soon as I come to a complete stop and start moving again, it only makes it to about 2500 rpm before breaking up and running like "BLEEP" in each gear. When I pull over and adjust the timing it runs fine through for about 5 minutes and then runs like "BLEEP". I have NGK platinum plugs in it and they're brand new so I know the plugs arent the problem, although I already burned up a set of plugs. Is it my carbs? or could it be an ignition problem?

Someone said that a Distributor for a 280z, basically any distributor before 78' will work for a 240z. Is that right?

So then why are the duals so much more expensive??

Can the linkage for the stock S.U. carbs on a 240z be used with Dual Weber Carbs, or do I need to get a different linkage set up?? If so, where can I get the linkage for a decent price? Thanks

I need a 240z wiring harness. I know they are hard to come by, but if HybridZ doesn't have one, chances are no one does. PM me if you can help Thankss

hey everyone! I just bought a 240z but I have a question.. The owner I bought the car from said he may have fried part of the engine wiring harness by hooking up the battery cables backwards. What does that mean? Anything that I should pay attention to? Anyone have an extra l24 wiring harness? Thanks

I just bought a kit off ebay, I didn't get anything custom made. Suspension- Tokico struts and lowering springs, think the whole kit was about 350

haha hell yeah, Lowes special & I had to repaint the air dam after I got into a minor accident a few weeks ago. The tires aren't very good on my Z and it doesnt like to stop in the rain =/ but nothing a little bondo can't fix

yeah, I just dont know what to do w/ the i/c I already bought. How much money do you have invested in that engine? Since I'm stalling on the i/c I was researching bigger injectors and new fuel rail from pallnet, I want to use 550 cc injectors

well it fits down inside, just there isnt room for piping, I could just mount it for looks, lol. Where can I find a dual side i/c that size, other than the treadstone one like yours, idk why I just dont like the style of that, the way it tapers to one end
