  1. Pretty much just as the title says. I'm curious as to if there are any dogleg gearbox options for the l28? http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/4/40/Manual_Dogleg.svg/125px-Manual_Dogleg.svg.png (image)
  2. Thanks, yeah I'm aware I'll probably get flamed for this one, but I'm mainly looking for the side door trim piece and figured might as well ask about the others while I was at it. I'll definitely give blackdragonauto.com a look and do some more searching. Keep it coming though. Thanks again
  3. It seems like you are looking for more of a darker blue, but have you ever considered anything like this? I know I fell in love when I saw it and plan to do mine similar. Good luck deciding
  4. I'm not even sure what kind of finish this qualifies as. But thought it was cool enough to share since it ..sorta fits
  5. Hey, I will admit that I didn't put a TON of research into this, but I'm hoping you guys can help me out. I looking for a place where I can purchase all the metal trim and weather stripping for a 260z (doors, etc) Also, I have no idea what it's called, but I am looking for the piece of trim that runs along the sides of the car across the door handle. I've included an image below for reference Any links or help would be appreciated. Thanks everyone
  6. Yeah, I know right. If they were cheap, everyone would do it though. If you decide to go the 1jz route, it'd still be pricey, but I say power to you. I think it'd be great inside a Z. Good luck with the saving, I know I'm terrible at it haha.
  7. after about 5 days of bidding, I'm sure the price will be comparable with the 2jz below http://osakajdmmotors.ca/jdm-engines/jdm-2jzgtte-engine-30l-twin-turbo-6sp-supra-p-41.html?zenid=kk7tbgiotkaue50r6erdp4fa26
  8. rocket bunny kit from touge factory is sick. looking at that for my 240sx, would be interesting to see how the fenders looked on an s30 They also have those generic flares [ http://www.sakuraindustry.com/osc/images/fender/Flare_u1.jpg ] that you could put onto just about any car, kind of boring in my opinion. Personally I think the ZG flares look great, but I'm with you on looking for something different/new.
  9. if you don't mind me asking, what white is that?
  10. an aristo 2jz with an automatic transmission is like 2500 right there, if you want anything coming from a supra, or even a manual transmission, it'll be a lot more. I would expect to drop anywhere between 5-15k for the swap. I know I'm determined to get a 2jz into my 240sx, wont be done for another 5 years though.
  11. Way nice, I'm in pretty much the same situation as you, college student and all. Wish I had my dad helping me out, but yeah. I'm finally at the point where I'm getting parts ordered in. Toyota engines are nice, but the JZ's can get damn expensive from my understanding if you plan on building the engine at all. You'd be surprised at the reliablity/durability/ and simplicity of the Lseries. I swear half the fun is figuring out what you want to do with the car
  12. Now I know this isn't the point of this thread, but now I'm pretty curious as to what you have in mind as a project? engine swap to an l28?
  13. Yeah, I've seen this one on KSL for the last little while. It doesn't seem too bad, I was going to go check it out until I picked up the 260z I have now from SLC. Good luck. Let me know how it goes
  14. I agree, my 260z already had the msa II kit on it when I purchased it. I was just looking around on the internet and noticed that I didn't see any with that kind of bumper/flare combo, and I'm guessing it just doesn't work out too well, but I haven't seen one, so I don't know for sure.
  15. ok yeah, I get what you're saying, but I was referring more to this type of after market rear bumper
