  1. So I finally test pin no 5 to see if its pulsing and lo and behold its not. This ecu I have is very rough and beaten so it could be the problem but just so i dont jump the gun on a z31 ecu is there any reason it wouldnt work. The light turns on in the ecu and the injectors fire is there any way just that part fried out in that thing please lend me your knowledge lol
  2. Hi i am having some ignition issues on my swapped l28et its a 81 engine in a 82 na. I am not getting any spark from my coil. At first I thought it was because the signal wire from the hei had been disconnected so I hook it back up to pin no 5 on the ecu still no spark. However my tach is still reading rpms when i crank her. Any advice is appreciated Im trying to move and this is putting a big halt on my plans. Is it the right pin could it be the ecu or am i just retarded please let me know:cry2:

I've got a na s130 that im doing a turbo swap into nothing serious right, but here's the kicker the junkyard I got my engine told me it was an 83 so I bought all 83 parts harness ecu etc only to find out that it was an 81 engine. Now the shop doing the work is having problems getting the ecu and harness to play nice with the engine:(. So my question is will these parts work our do I need to go buy a different harness and ecu I've already got the 81 dizzy. Any help would be appreciated

However I've run a bit over budget and a bit out of time and can not afford what junkyards and part stores are charging for 25 year old technology so I'm looking for anybody whos got an extra l28et distributor lying around and is willing to sell it leave me a pm

  11. I am doing a turbo swap and have all the parts I need to get it running. With the exepction of the wiring harness so if anybody has one or knows some one who has one even a junkyard number would be appreciated.
  12. how could an undertray when done wrong be dangerous? Not denying that it can't but could you give an example.

  14. I'm wanting to go racing. This being the case I have an engine and suspension budget setup. However I'm looking to gain an advantage in terms of Aerodynamics. I was thinking along the lines of a full venturi tray [not sure if thats the right name.] a front splitter a set of vortex generators like the ones on the evo8 mr. I'm not sure what type of wing. Side skirts obviosly and a way to effectivly move air in and out of the wheel wells. So basically what Im asking if the above modifications applied right would increase the overall aerodynamics of the car. My main goal with the above is to increase the overall down force of the car greatly while touching up on a few weak links in the s130 design. So tell me am I shooting blanks here or is it so hard to tune the above I should just skip it and put more money in the suspension?

  16. Ive got a 82 na s130 that is running on 5 out of 6 and I was wondering what the strength of these pistons were. The cars got 210k on the odo and due to the throttle cable sticking its hit like 8500 rpms. It didnt make any noises indicating something wrong I just started it and it was burning oil and not firing on the 5th piston.
  17. Guys I've gone over the forums with a fine tooth comb and I cant find any info on anbody whos done this swap. I've got the aurora 4.0 L in mind and any info especially pertaining to a s130 car on this swap would be appreciated. I've owned one of these cars and must say these engines are terrifying. With just a crappy homemade dump off the note from the exhuast is terrifying and is the main reason for me at least to do this swap.
  18. I've hit a 145 in my 82 na 280zx with cam exhaust and cold air. Stock tires turning 5500 rpms in 5th going to take off the rear wing and get some light covers and try again once I get it fixed. Car felt very stable and with blown struts the wing bottomed out the rear supsension.
  19. I know this sort of thing is looked down upon but Ive tried the search function and couldnt find what i needed. So now to the question what electrical stuff has to be swapped in order for a 280zx na to turbo swap. I know I need the harness, afm, and ecu plus the distributor and fuel pump but is there anything else that needs to be done. Also anybody out there have any of the afformentioned parts for sale
