Does anyone have any info on the ArizonaZ car 4bbl conversion. I'm sick of dealing with the FI and want to gut it! Maybe it's too hard (the FI) or maybe I'm not smart enough, but the 4bbl is starting to look more and more the way I want to go. Any help or thoughts would be cool.

Hello again Hybrid Z. Thanks to the tech Forum, I sucessfully converted to an internal regulated alt. What an improvement! I was able to ditch that entire regulator bracket and cleanup that side the engine comp. Next Project is to upgrade fusible link setup, but first need to get alt, cuz i need the one I used for swap back, for my hooptie (83 Maxima), cuz my Z is not licensed yet and I gotta get to work. I checked out the link and that's not the problem I have. My problem is the car idles fine will run all day at idle and revs to the moon with no load on it, but on acceleration it completely dies like it's starving for fuel only very light throttle pressure will yeild an rpm build. The higher the rpm say 3000 and up and it seems only when warmed up, though I can't say for sure cuz i haven't tried it dead cold yet. I have seen the alanticz threads and have a copy of the efi bible just thought someone with more knowledge than me would know for sure.

I did several searches. I guess the reason why this site is called Hybridz is all the turbo action and that's what I kept finding. I just wanna make my N/A L28 a runner again. At least until the Kids have moved out then I'll break the bank and all this turbo info will come in handy. Thanks For the link, I'll check it out:icon14:

I have 76 280z that is bone stock, I have two problems won't charge and it surges like crazy . I have tried timing, tps position, changed the fuel filter and cleaned all the connectors and applied deg. Nothing is helping. Short of taking off the fuel tank and cleaning it out and replacing the pump I am lost. Please help. Rockr69

you've got spark or it wouldn't fire at all. Keep checking the fuel system (fuel pump pressure is where I'd start). Good Luck!

Thanks for the warm welcome. Right now I just want to get the car road worthy and reliable so I can enjoy the hell out of it before I settle into financial ruin customizing it. Luckily my wife is ok with financial ruin as long as I'm happy I'm gonna start with an energy suspensions master bushing kit and brake rebuild, cuz I think, though it is fun to go fast- I like to keep my ass out of the grass. Hello everyone on HybridZ. I am the new owner of a 1976 280z. I have lusted after these cars for years and now the dream has come true (I feel like a new dad). I have looked for awhile for a decent forum about Z cars, and there are many, I finally stumbled onto HybridZ and can honestly say I have become inspired. There is more Z knowledge in this one site than on all the web combined (only my opinion) and I like how everyone is helpful and not superior sounding to even the most mmmm... not so smart sounding questions.
