close to stock 77 vette 350 is basicly what i got. I have not done much to it till i can stop breaking the brute force u-joints. New fuel filter and pump. All new lines. Yester day i she ran great and i pulled a close to perfect launch and ripped the half shaft to bits. Some days it runs good some it runs like ♥♥♥♥ no mater how much i tune it.

Off the line im fine but im bogging down mid way down the 1/8 mile. Ive changed the fuel pump to a holley part-# 12-801-1 fuel pump. But that seems to have made it worse. I do not want to change to a holley carb im hell bent on q-jet. Is there somthing i can be missing? Its ran great up till about 3 weeks ago. thb i think im going to run this motor till it blows i have a 318 sitting around. Im going to start building it this week.

Yea i know almost got banned from the truck cuz when i left the staging i gunned it thow the gravel and sprayed the staging with rocks.

The tires where good but i have been putting them throw the ropes for the past few months. What i think is i put the right side rear on the left side when i was redoing my half shafts a few months back.As a result they ripped apart.I even just had them balanced a week before it happend. Not sure how old they where tho.They where fine when i got the car.Just have not gone looking for new ones cuz i want to get a set of konig rewinds so i didn't want to spend more money they i needed to.But i guess its to late for that now.

My week started with monday my tyre blowing out wial i was going down 595 at about 3am.I was doing a good 100-110 mph when i the car starts to shake.Then i hear what sounds like a shotgun as im getting off the off ramp. tread got stuck in the bumper and my tyre locked up and throw me for a spin. Me personaly im very bitter and dont trust the "Original Owners" after what happend with me.I look at it as a scam the owner sets up.But yes its dif for other people.But i know it dosnt always happen like what happend to me.But he never reported it.He probly didnt sign it over to you cuz mabe he has no proff he ever owned it.So many things not to trust from the way it sounds.I would have looked into the guys more if i was you.

The orignal owner never reported it.Thats what happend with mine.Its a scam that people do.He just lost track of the guy he was trying to scam it from.Ill bet you a g that he sold the car with the flip vins.Got abit of money and when he tryed to track it he fucked up like the guy i had do it to me. P.S. the guy that did it to me.Has a restraining order on me i cant go within 100 feet of him.I broke his noes and 2 of his ribs.It feels so good to get revenge btw.

oO i bought a 75 duster with the slant 6 for 1300.Plain on putting a 318 in it.Getting a myscle car is cheap if you look it the right place.And not afrade to do work yourself.My duster has 1 hole in the floor and some rust around the tail lights.Esay fix just goto mopar and ford shows.Thay pop up alot.Or in many chases swap meets go early and hits the back vendors.

I this same ♥♥♥♥ happen to me.I let the guy get the car back to find he was the one who swapped the vins to steal it back from the person he sold it to.Its a scam act.So here is what you do where i fucked up stip the car to nothing but the unibody.And send him it with a big ♥♥♥♥ you letter.Put the parts in a storage for a mounth till the storage rolls over and have a friend buy the lot storage.Then there is no no way the cops can track the parts

You had one of those vin fraud ♥♥♥♥ to...I had that ♥♥♥♥ with my first z.Witch wound up me losing the car out 5g and the car with all my work getting parted out by the orignal owner.Witch i found out he was the one who changed the vins.Sold it to the guy i bought it from with the intension to scam the car from.I just happen to be the one shafted.

oh so its normal that fixing one thing breaks another.But all is fair in love and war.I think my z declared war with me.

So far ive killed my half shaft once.Now since i fixed it i almost ripped the dif out... Im having no luck so far. but im still in love with my car.

Oh my bad its a R180.Ive been going nuts going throw junk yards that my mind still hasnt come to speed.Thx for reminding me

Guess i should add mine even tho this is an old topic. I was on 136 near my house and i decided to race a camaro. As i cam up to my old school( western high ) it let loose even tho i won i sould have made a bet.Cuz now ive spent 70 bucks in new u-joints to find my half shaft is completly fucked...
