Could this be caused by not properly turning the R56 and R52? Also can someone sketch quick diagram of how the dizzy is suppose to be connected on the bottom. My didnt come with the little harness so im just using someone word for it.

How would I have to adjust it? Is it something in tunerstudio or something on the board?

So i checked my TACH signal today and noticed that I connected the dizzy the wrong way. I redid the wires and now my TACH signal cable sends out 5.5V. Still the car would not fire. So i decided to jump the TACH signal and see if the tunerstudio will get the signal and it doesn't. I checked for continuity between my relay board and the ECU and everything works so the problem seems to be within the ECU itself. I'm wondering if the previously made connections for the RV sensor might be the problem? Since I recently switched to the Turbo dizzy from a NA should I disconnect some of the previous connections? Also just to clarify I'm not using my FIDLE relay, my dizzy signal is connected to my TACH on relay board and my coil is connected to S5. Also during testing today my coil wasnt connected if that matters?

How can I turn the test mode on in tunerstudio. It seems like a good idea to see if everything is working. Also can I jump the dizzy signal just to see if the coil will fire up? thanks guys for help

Anyways tho what if there is no tach signal? Im not 100% sure i wired the dizzy right. It didnt come with the 4 pin connector so i just connected the wires straight to the pins. I got a diagram from my manual but somewhere else I read it was different.

I haven't check. My car is in a garage away from my house. Ill check tomorrow and report. Is it possible that since Im not getting the tach signal the coil would not fire?

Yeah i change the drive gear and you're right about the VR as well. I still have TACHSELECT connected to VRIN and TSEL to VROUTINV. Maybe I should take those out?. I did the internal pullup resistor mod for the distributor where I connected the 12C to TACHSELECT

I have some kind of ignition module inside the ECU it look like the bosch one since the base is metal.

I have a 1977 280z with a L28ET swap. I'm running MS1 V3 with a Relay Board I bought the car running but for some reason after I uploaded a new firmware it stopped. I realized I didn't unplug the coil which probably fried it. At that point I decided that I would redo the horrible and complicated wiring that the previous owner did in the car. I bought a MS Relay Board and the wiring kit as well as I switched out the NA dizzy to a 1983 Turbo Dizzy. I wired everything up and redid everything and the car is cranking but not getting spark. So I did some test to see why it doesnt work and where is the problem coming from. 1. I checked if im getting spark at the distributor...Im not 2.I checked if Im getting spark at the coil... Im not 3. I checked if I'm getting 12v+ to the + coil and I was 4. I replaced the coil with a 12v light bulb to see if while cranking it would light up... it didnt 5. I checked if the relay board is getting 12v+ switched while cranking...and it wasnt so i temporary jumped the 12v+ from the battery (does this mean that my ignition is bad?) I figured the problem must be within the Megasuirt itself. So my questions are: 1.Is there any way to check if the pin 36/s5 output actually works? 2. Is there any way to check if the coil ignition chip in MS is dead? 3. Is it possible that MS is not sending signal to pin 36 because i wired my Turbo dizzy wrong...any way to check that? Below I attached a picture of a diagram of how I connected the coil. PLEASE help me I need this car running since it's going to be my daily and I'm tires of borrowing my friends car. well that the thing see. Im dont have 280zx turbo dropping resistors but 280z NA dropping resistors and my question was simply if they are ok to use or not. I was assuming that the 280z had high independence injectors since it wasnt a turbo

I still dont know if 280z resistor pack is compatible with l28et injectors. I might just order 6 6ohm 25watt resistors and install them that way

the 280zx turbo injectors are 2.3 ohm and supra ones are 3.2 ohm

but are stock 280z low independence? Also would they work with the supra injectors?

Can I use the stock dropping resistor if I have a turbo swapped 1977 280z? I would think the resistance on the injectors is different

Im redoing the whole wiring in the 280z l28et with MS1 v3 and I want to know what kind of resistors should I use for my stock turbo injectors and how many? Also I have the supra 440cc waiting to be installed. What size resistors do they need? Thanks

I'm about to install MS Relay board in my 280z and bypass the fuel and ignition relay. I just want to know where am I suppose to connect the signal wire from the starter? Thanks

Hi, I noticed that my clutch slave cylinder on my 280zx tranny (5 speed NA) is leaking so I decided that I want to replace it. I want to ask if anyone has any suggestion or which one should I get and what other parts besides the clutch line do I need. I know MSA sells them for like 30$ but I want to know if they are worth it when all the other companies have them for like 15. Thanks

Little update. I decided to go the turbo dizzy way. Im still looking for a distributor itself but i already bought the oil shaft . I decided that because of the fact that the current dizzy its just a pain and mounting a vr sensor and all the wiring would be way too complicated for me. As i understand the dizzy swap is pretty easy just take the old one out and put the new one in, but what should I change on megasuirt and tunerstudio. Should I remove the vr sensor connection? I also ordered a relay board and all new wiring for the car. The current wiring was just a mess and my time trying to figure it all out would cost more than the sum of all the parts.

Also the sensor will be much cheap than getting the turbo dizzy with the shaft. The wheel thats on there right now seems to have like 60 teeth or so. Do you think it would be a good idea to just get the wheel from dyiautotune. Alos if i do that what am I suppose to do with the two wires coming from my current dizzy. where are they suppose to be connected?
