  2. hahah man I love Arizona... I was seriously considering laying out in the sun this week to work on my tan lol
  3. whoops just realized my math was off it would be $115.00. oh well you get the point
  4. and plus I didn't feel like digging sand out of my ears, hair, mouth, and butt crack. Good luck with your sand blasting though
  5. $125.00. I've sandblasted before and to be quite honest I was glad to pay $65.00. those things were caked in grime
  6. well I guess I don't know how to post a picture right... I guess you'll have to click the link. Thanks! I think they came out awesome.. Just hope I didn't pay too much
  7. Thought I'd share with the z community because my friends and family don't really care.. lol total was $180.00
  8. How about if I connect them and go without the crossmember to allow more room for exhaust? think that would work
  9. Ok I bought this set up from a member but I have some concerns. I was thinking that these two pieces needed to be connected, which can be easily done. I have a high 400 hp and torque sbc 383 that will be powering my z, so I want this thing to be sturdy enough to last a while. My questions are: These mounts block the rear crossmember, would it be ok to run without the crossmember especially if the mounts are left dual mount setup? What would be the best for this setup? Connect the mounts with some steel plate and modify the rear crossmember? Or would I be ok with leaving it how it is? Thanks for your time
  10. Free? lol that's what I got mine for. I'd say $1000, looks like you got yourself a nice project and some rust to be patching
  11. no idea, they are the ones that come on a stand that you get at home depot for like $40.00. I was just using them for lighting, not heat
  12. I didn't have heat lamps but I had 1000w flood lights but it was a nice 70 in my garage. the day I picked to paint was the first day it rained in arizona for like a year. slight orange peel, I didn't buff it, was thinking about wet sanding the whole thing but haven't as for dry time I was able to touch it at like 20- 30 minutes Dust was a factor I had two floor box fans that I put AC fliters over to move air that helped but still had some dust
  13. Well to me it seemed to lay down nice. To me it seemed the dupont primer was alot easier to spray. Keep in mind I have no experience in auto paint, I literally just mixed it up, put it in the cheap $90.00 3 piece hvlp gun set and sprayed lol. The pattern was a nice cigar shape, so I left it. I didn't mess with any of the fluid control or air control knobs. The paint directions said to use 2 coats but I didn't have good coverage with 2 so I did 3. Other then some flaws like runs and particulates it looks good enough for me. I fell if I would of had a real booth with enough room and good lighting I could of done a better job. If I wanted to have a show car I would of paid someone else lol
  14. Its supposed to be flat, and it actually is flat in person but for some reason the camera and poor lighting make it a lil glossy
  15. This is my first time doing anything paint and bodywork related so I'm quite please with how it turned out
  16. Thats a good idea I'll wet sand everything with 800 grit the go over it with another coat, i'll just a lil more reducer. I think it looks good and my body work turned out better then I thought lol. But I guess only a mother could love a ugly child. I'll post pics first thing tomorrow when I get home
  17. I guess i'll just have to experiment and worse case is i'll have to spray more. I'll get some pics up tomorrow
