  1. I think the paint is just black with a flattening agent premixed. but i'm not sure if the buffing will make it shine. I never wet sanded before so I guess I dont want to screw things up
  2. Alright this is my first time painting anything and I have a couple questions about fixing some runs and orange peel in single stage Flat Black Paint. the paint was a hot rod flatz, it came out like a semi gloss, I think I sprayed it too thick. Although I haven't looked at it in the sun. The orange peel isn't bad and I would be happy with it, but a have 2 medium sized runs down both drip rails that i'd like to fix. My questions is can I wet sand out the runs and orange peel then buff and keep the flat look or will the buffing it gloss it? Or am I going to have to sand them down and repaint? Any help is appreciated. I searched but nothing for SS flat paint
  3. something like this I think would be cool.. http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1∂=SPE-252D&N=700+400068+115&autoview=sku
  4. My camera got ruined when I experienced a monsoon on lake mead in a small fishing boat.. lol.. So I don't want to take anymore crappy pics with my cell phone... But like I said I copied Hoke's he had a lot of pics
  5. I am really happy with how mine turned out. As a novice weldor it was hard to weld all the way around I had to make some blind welds. But I think I did pretty darn good. My car was stripped with all the windows out. And I didn't have a notcher so I spent hours upon hours grinding notches. Not fun
  6. Nothing is wrong with it. It just requires work to make it look good. And after you make the bends, trust me you'll want to bend the door bars, you'll be thinking that was easy. I should of just bought the metal and bent it myself and have a tight fitting custom cage.if of course you have access to a good tube bender. The jegs hoop is a good fit but I feel I could of made it tighter. Just my opinion.
  7. I installed a Jegs 8 point and copied 240hoke, so pretty much all that was used was the main hoop the rest custom bent and notched. If I had to do it over again I would of bought a roll cage bender and did it myself.. A few pics just one more piece to notch and i'm finished.
  8. I don't know how the driver of the hauler is doing. I would assume he died, just dude the burns in his respitory tract. I don't know if he was drunk. All I know is that he rear ended a moving gas tanker. I think the tanker was traveling at a slow rate of speed due the hill and the hauler fell asleep. but I don't know. The car hauler was carrying benz, beemer's, landrover and miata. the other car on the road came off the hualer. I also don't mean and disrespect but I say awesome because the "fire" was aesome. It's not everyday you get to see a fully loaded gas tanker go up and a car hauler full of cars
  9. And sorry for the CHEESY music
  10. A still picture video of a sweet tanker fire on July 5th http://media.putfile.com/08-tanker-fire This was a gasoline tanker, fully loaded, I believe 9000 gallons. It got rear ended by a car hauler. The collision ruptured the tank and went up in flames. The driver of the car hauler got a rush of burning gas all over his body. Amazingly he got out and we fly him to Sunrise hospital in vegas. His condition is unknown. This was pretty awesome. I thought I would share a little bit of what I do. I'm one of the guys around the baby poop green Fire Engine. The wreck was on hwy 68 in Golden Valley, Az
  11. While in the process of shaving my 260z rear. I find this and the filler is thick looks like the p.o. backed into something hard. I just have to vent... looks like more body work then I had planned for.
  12. You're right, it does look a lil off But these are such a good deal I don't think I would mind
