  1. Hello, I have just purchused some 440cc supra injectors off ebay for $72 shipped and then should be at my door any day now. So when I get them I would like to send the off to get flow tested and cleaned. But I cant seem to find a place that can do this and i know there are numorus places but I just cant seem to find one.
  2. i dont know much but i did get my p90a cam ground with delta, now i am still working on my motor so i havent started it up. but on the box it says to use high rpm grease or something and when the car starts run the car at 1500-2000 rpms for 20 minutes to break the cam in. the only reason why i say this is because you didnt put that in your post, so that's why i decided to mention it. but if you did do this then i have no clue and sorry for wasting your time.
  3. Yes I understand that and I was going to buy one. But I bought the turbo today and am very happy with my purchase but i think the turbo was run a little harder then it should have. Because of the discoloration of the turbine housing. What do you guys think? Oh and I also went to the junk yard today and got a N42 intake for $20, so i am very happy at this moment.
  4. well i am shooting for 15 to 20 pounds of boost so wont the t3 start opening up at like 8 or something?
  5. the turbo is used and has unknown milage absolutly no shaft play and doesnt look half bad.the guy wants $200 for it, i want to buy it but i really dont feel like putting and external waste gate on the car. so do you think the stock waste gate will clear the side wall of the car?
  6. I am also having the same problems with the front and rear core plugs. I had used a punch and hammer on the front one but all it did was push it back. So now I am kinda stuck and if I try to drill a hole I think the drill bit will go through more then just the plug.
  7. (253) 383 4152 i called that number one time at like 9 and they picked up but i am in Michigan so i dont know what time it was over there
  8. this is the build that i will be doing on my 83 280zxt motor. 1.I had the head re-built they put new spring and valve seals and they ground the valves. 2.I got the cam and rocker arms ground with delta cam BTW they did a great job and did it for $105 and thats with shipping 3.Maybe forged pistons depending on what you guys think of my build or new stock pistons, rings, and pins 4.Balanced crank 5.New bearings 6.ARP head studs, main bearing studs, and rod bolts 7.24x12x3 intercooler 8.Holset hy35 turbo 9.Blow off valve 10.The 440cc supra injectors because thats what everyone uses 11.60mm throttle body 12.1mm felpro head gasket 13.mega squirt computer I already have the head completed and the inter cooler is in the basement. But with this build I want to run 15-20psi of boost so I am wondering will i be safe on NEW stock internals or should i go big with forged.
  9. Well one more question now, so if I just tune the motor real well I would be safe running 15-20 pounds of boost on stock internals?
  10. While you guys are on the subject of pistons and pistons pins I have a question. I am at the point of my 1983 280zxt engine build where I am saving for my forged pistons because I will be running 15-20 pounds of inter cooled boost. So my question is when I get my forged pistons should I have them made with free floating pins and tell them that the rods will be modified for free floating pins. Or should i be alright with pressed in pins?
  11. When I click on the link it says that I cant access it. Also I am sorry for posting with a bad subject header.
  12. Hello, I have a 1983 280zxt and i am rebuilding the motor. So right now I am working on the head and I just read in the FSM that I should NOT take out the rocker pivot bushing. Well I did because I read the FSM after I did it so I am wondering what is the torque spec on those things or do i have to align them some how?
  13. I just looked up those turbos on ebay and they are for the dodge cummins turbo diesel motors. So will those work on the z motors even though there made for diesel trucks? Also I found this one but I cant tell if it has a T3 flange on it. Plus its a rather large looking turbo so will it fit? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Dodge-5-9-Cummins-Holset-HX35-Stock-Turbo_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ38634QQihZ019QQitemZ290205677349QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW
  14. Wow thanks for all that input, that was really good stuff!

But I dont have much money, so I found these cheap turbos and I was wondering if they are any good?

    Z31 Tb

i have a 240sx TB i havent put it on but i was just wondering why do you have to have a spacer and how thick does it have to be. plus on the 240sx TB it has three vacuum line holes what should i do about the other two?
  17. when i did mine i didnt pull my rad and the hole job wasent that hard. what was annoying was taking out all those oil pan bolts and then having to hit/ pry it off the block. but it was difficult to get the timing right so i wish you the best of luck when you have to do that.
  18. well unless there is a different mounting kit on that site it says "The V8 conversion mounts for the 1979-1983 280ZX are completely different than the V8 mounts for the 1970-1978 Z car." and i know it will cost more i am gussing about 1000 to 1200 but thats not bad considering i bought the car for 300. also if i dont get lucky with a mounting kit and decide to re-build what i have is there a site that sells re-wireing kits once again sorry and thanks for any help
  19. I am looking for a mounting kit for my 1983 280ZX Turbo. I found the website http://www.Jagsthatrun.com, but that only covers Z's from 1970-1978. I am doing this because I bought the car for $300 hoping to make it run, but it's not getting spark in cylinders one and two, and the wiring is so bad that I would have to re-wire the whole thing and most likely end up re-building the engine. So, instead of spending around 500-600 dollars, I am just going to buy a 350 for it, but I want a mounting kit for it. sorry if this post sounds dumb and thanks for any help.
