  1. Cried!!?? I screamed! I like how the pictures were setup. The car looked sweeter as I scrolled down and then BAM! My heart just dropped. Very sad. I guess he knows the limit now, right?
  2. I have to agree...very sexy. Damn, I miss Japan and Okinawa! Chris
  3. Sweet! Thanks for the tip. You know I had a friend who kept blowing out those, makes sense now. Thanks. Chris
  4. I tried the search but didn't find the answer. Well, I got vague answers. I'm about to do this task and heard of studs breaking off. I have an exhaust manifold leak and was fail through inspection for it, so I have to do it. My questions: where can I get manifold studs if they happen to break, what size are they, and who makes them? I'm going from the top to take this manifold off, so the intake manifold is coming off as well. Thanks for the help in advance. Chris 1981 280ZXT
  5. On the HKS it can be adjusted...it adjusts the opening of the blow-off. If it's open too long the car will stall for like a sec. It was trail and error for me...many runs. I finally got it to where it works out for me. Chris
  6. This is my setup on a stock j-pipe. Yes, it is very sweet sounding. I love it. Chris 1981 ZXT
  7. Yeah, I've done business with him. He's pretty cool. But I have to admit it was awhile before I got my parts, but I got them and that's all that counts to me. He's pretty good. Chris
  8. So, if you get adaptors won't the wheel stick more? How does that work? I've heard of this, but never heard of anymore saying what kine wheels or offset the use. Well, I've hear of people using Hondas wheels...is that offset perfect when using an adaptor? Thanks.
  9. Wow, were any mods needed to be done to fit those on or did you just bolt them up? They look great! Sweet choice! Chris
  10. Hey there... I'm putting a stock T/C rod on my car and was wondering if all suspension parts should be torqued to specs while the car is resting on it's wheels? The parts I've loosen was the main bolt to the tranverse link or control arm and the sway bar end link bolt. Should those parts be torqued while the car is resting on it's wheels? Thank you in advanced. Chris
  11. RB30-ZED: Cool, thanks...I think I'll give that a try. Mike: Cool, looks like you might get a control arm. I'll look forward to the production of your ZX parts. Take care, man. Thanks, Chris
  12. RB30-ZED: I've heard of that...putting the rubber on the back side and poly of the front, does it really work? I've also heard of drilling holes around the poly bushing...some guy who owns a 510 did that. But the rubber/poly combo sounds like it would reileve some stress. Mike: Hey man, I could mail the old rod to you...right now I have a transportation problem, though. This Z was my only car, but I'm getting a another car, but don't know when. So, it's the old bike transportation to and from work. I work on Langley AFB. I'm putting the Z in the garage and just building up for a road race setup. And since I heard about your products I was inspired to go with that setup. I'm also going with the ground-control suspension, but I have yet to talk to those guys and see if they make them for the ZX. Mike, about the T/C rod hit me back with the address and what we should do on my email, thanks. Thank you all for your help...if find any more info, please let me know. Thank you.
  13. Hi there...I need some help. My tension compression rod snapped again. This is number three. The first one was trial and error and it was my first one where I torque it in the air. I run poly bushing and now I torque them to specs while on the ground, but what am I doing wrong that these break like twigs. They are breaking at the threaded joint/bushing coupler. Now, I hit a pot hole, but not very deep. Just enough to snap my rod. I was wondering if someone made stronger rods for the '79 to '83 model? I have an '81. Thanks for any help in advance. Chris 1981 280ZXT
  14. Man, that is a sweet looking Z. You must be a photographer, cuz the pictures look great, too. I like the side markers you put on the front end...very nice. Chris 1981 280ZXT
  15. Hey that Skyline GTR that Gary now owns used to be my boss' Skyline. Damn I miss Okinawa. Those Skylines are sweet. Chris
  16. Same here I would a copy of that video. Hit me back with info.
  17. I was wondering if anyone ported a factory exhaust manifold? Can it be done? Do you know of anyone that can and if so where? I was looking at it and it looks pretty small. Thanks. Chris 1981 280 ZXT
  18. I just wanted to share with some of you the gauge pod I made up for my car. I have a dual on there now, with a air/fuel gauge in place. Enjoy. Chris P.S. Thanks Scottie-GNZ for helping me post the pics.
  19. I've used a Z32 a-pillar dual pod, with very little mods. I used a drummel and applied a little heat to the edge so that it bends in. Then I put it in the trunk of a car under the hot sun, with clamps attaching the pod to my pillar, this helped it form to the existing pillar. I have a 280ZXT. So, from '79 on down I have no clue how thin the pillars are. Hope this helps some.
  20. I'm having a proplem hooking up my air/fuel gauge. I have an Autometer Pro Comp. I have three wires. Black, Purple, and Red. I have the ground and power good to go, but when I splice the purple wire into the O2 sensor wire, I get no power. Has any one had this problem before? I don't understand what going on. I need some help. I have a 1981 280ZXT. How do you guys have your A/F gauge hooked up. Thanks for any help you can provide.
