  1. I see this is an old ad that has been bumped back up. Is the car still for sale, and if so, how much is it now? I see where you said you were a motivated seller. Thanks
  2. Yea I Googled the Phantom Grip like RB26' said. I think you are right johnc. Junk. I just read about 11 pages on the OBX carrier about taking it apart and reversing the helical gears (if needed) and redoing the bolts and washers. They are about $435 on Ebay now. The Quaife is $1209 and the OS Giken in $1700 on Ebay Anyone know a cheaper place to get the Quaife?. Thanks
  3. Here is the link to the ebay ad. It says they have sold 14 of them. I wonder if anyone on here bought one? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Datsun-240Z-280Z-300Z-350Z-370Z-R200-Limited-Slip-Differential-Conversion-Kit-/251634230874
  4. I've seen some of the old VWs with a slider in there. I think they were factory. Here is a pic of one that someone did themselves. I'd want to just leave it open and drive it on nice days.
  5. Hoov100 made some good (and funny) points. The more I look at it the more it looks like the car from Corvette Summer.
  6. I agree with some of the comments. Too many hood louvers--should've started with a non-louvered hood and moved them toward the back of the hood some (maybe put a satin black or carbon fiber hood on it). Not crazy about sunroofs but i haven't seen a 'his-n-hers' in many years. I just noticed he painted the window rubber--(maybe you could go along the edge with a razor blade and put new rubbers in it without messing up the paint). Not crazy about the red on the seats and i usually don't like the MSA bumper covers but it seems to go well with the custom side skirts and the little rear quarter skirts (i really don't like the MSA rear covers that have the rear skirt). Kinda like the flat wheels (no dish) on this one also. I may go and check it out...it's close to my house.
  7. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Datsun-280Z-78-5-Spd-Street-Show-Car-/170487197839?cmd=ViewItem&pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item27b1d4308f I noticed a couple of things about it that don't match. Some of the window trim is red and some of it is black or missing. It also looks like the z logo has been painted over on the pass side but not the drivers. There are a couple things I don't like but overall it looks pretty good with some nice custom touches. Opinions??
  8. If anyone has one they wanna sell let me know please. May also be interested in the swap kit or individual pieces of it as well.
  9. Can you post a link to it or is it on DVD? I'd like to see it too.
  10. So Braap, Did you build the engine specifically for a turbo application w/dishtops or did you use flattops? The reason I ask is that the cam seems kind of big for a turbo application. Also is everything else listed correctly other than the 4-angle valve job?
  11. He told me he was gonna post the serial #'s from the motor on the original raffle thread or either on this thread so we can match them up. Maybe he's gonna take pics of the serial#? I don't know. I think maybe the guy that won it in the race painted on it? Not sure though.
  12. Does anyone know about this or is he delusional? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1973-Datsun-240Z-Turbo-Very-Fast-Ready-to-Drive_W0QQitemZ280481321015QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_Cars_Trucks?hash=item414dfd5037
  13. Hi Kris. You can also take the plugs out and look in the hole with a pen-light and find one close to the top to see if they're flat-tops or dished. I've done that before.
  14. please post some pics bigdeezs. i checked in to it myself but they only have the RBs in 8.5s and i like the RBRs better.
  15. does anyone have any collecting dust? they don't carry them anymore since they changed to black dragon (in case you didn't know already).
