  2. you mean send the radiator to be cleaned?
  3. so i have a 240Z with an l28et. the motor is pretty much stock just intake and exhaust. it used to go 3/4 of the way to hot on the temp sensor when i was pushing on it alot. one time it got to the H when i was really beating on it on the highway. since then every time i drove it it get about 5/6 of the way to H but never more. And it bubbles into the overflow after i turn the car off. and now it happens with just normal driving after about 8 minutes. but it will idle forever and not get past half. i did a leak down test at about 60psi and detecting nothing as far as a bad HG or warped head. there is no burning of coolant and nothing leaking. I also took out the thermostat, just to get rid of that variable. and it didn't help. any suggestions.........please?
  4. "there is nothing else to do on the car" :lmao:how about making it seriously fast, and getting rid of those battleship rims for some with rims with some real offset, o and please lower it. i dont care to pick on other cars but if your asking 45k then that authorizes it.
  5. yes we must do this. what is ur clubfr name. im assuming its panachedriver, do u plan on sliding it. im just gonna get a different car to slide and brake like usual at events. mine is kinda in pieces as well. every time i try to replace something i break something else, damn old cars.

  10. that's very very helpful. now I just need to know if the n/a has the same on. b/c that can be had at the yard for almost nothing. (no turbo Z at the yard) problem fixed. thanks man.
  11. so i went to change my coolent temperature sensor on my l28et. at first i couldn't find it. then i saw this unti that looks kinda like it(at least the clip was the right fit). i proceeded to try to take it off and it snapped. it is not made to be removed b/c there is no threads. oops. 1. what is the piece called that i broke the sensor off of? 2. wtf does it do? (its got this spring loaded port with a sensor inside) 3. is it the same on an n/a l28e? came from here
  12. ya i have researched and read alot. the size core i want doesnt have a 2.5 i/o only 3 and i dont want the i/o on the same side. i think i figures out how i will route the piping
  13. cant i stuff two 2.5 inch pipes and my intake through the passanger side core support area. ive seen it done but idk if it takes away from the stiffness on that side b/c i know i will need to cut some metal away
  14. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/FMIC-TURBO-31x12x3-INTERCOOLER-SUBARU-IMPREZA-WRX-STI_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33742QQihZ015QQitemZ250157520714QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW i was thinking of this intercooler, but both this and the ones listed are all 3 inch inlet and outlet. will it make a noticable difference if i go from 2.5 inch piping to 3 inch inlet amd outlet? sorry i didnt want to make a new post thread for this question.

  17. ya the guy before me fixed things with bondo so now i have to fix them again the right way. the doors will not close, even after i took out the horrible cheap pos weather stripping and did that thing with i read on here about grinding the metal where the door snaps into place. other then a bunch a small things. its awesome. pulls very hard and looks hot (from a distance)
  18. First of all, i like this site very much. i dont post much but i am constantly learning things on here. i used to have a S130 rhd fairlady but i sold it to build my drift car and now finally i got another one. Exactly 6 years ago in the August 2001 issue of Super Street, that i still have, there was this article. http://www.superstreetonline.com/featuredv..._car/index.html Its a 72 240Z with an l28et, o and he has a 510 with a bewsted 13B. Anyways, I've always liked the old Z but that article made me obsessed with it. I don't know if my new car will ever be that sick but its mine so its cooler. Mine is a 73 240Z with an l28et. My next year or so plans are redo body work, front mount, redo exhaust, suspension, rims and fix a bunch of small stuff. All depends on how much money i can put aside for it. Its just asking for a front mount.
  19. heat up the metal around the bolts as u try to remove them. or try to take them out with a breaker bar and hammer the top where the socket is conneceted.
  20. awesome car man. look up ur car on wikipedia. u will learn ALOT.
  21. the main thing when welding it is cleaning the hell out of it. ive snapped a welded diff in road america at a drift day.... not fun. just clean it well before and after. its actually not that bad. i dailyed my s13 like that. u get used to it. and youll never want a open diff again
  22. excelent info thanks. justin just an FYI, i know a buddy that got that same diff and somehow broke it at a drift day. idk they have a pretty bad rep. and ive seen it first hand.
