  1. im looking for a lightweight hood and hatch for my 240z. I cant afford a new ones so im hoping someone has a used one.
  2. i have a 1970 240z with an sr. im hoping for about 2300# sr motors are not that light. They weigh about 400# so your maby saving a little weight compared to an l28 swap but not much. I weigh mine shortly im curious but afraid of the results.
  3. iv got a sr in my 240z its been running 19psi on 91 pump with a jwt tune and a disco potatoe. very fun setup.

  6. I have an s30 with ground control coilovers and tokiko illuminas. My rear springs are adjusted to an uneven ammount the left side spring sits higher than the right side. Did I do something wrong or is this how these cars are thanks

  8. the car is an s30 that has an sr20det engine i put in it. I just recently got it going and noticed after about 300 miles my tranny was leaking oil from the rear seal the driveshaft goes in. i pulled my new shaft out and noticed it was pretty scarred where it rides on the bushing in the transmission. the bushing in the transmission looked the same. my driveshaft looks to be pretty straight but not perfect. this defidently is not normal wear and tear scarring through chrome it will catch your finger nail if drug across. it is possible the the transmission had prior damage to the bushing which damaged my drive shaft or there was debris in there. it also ran low on oil but for no more than 30 miles. I just rebuilt my transmission and put a new yolk on the driveshaft. I am just afraid to drive it and have the same problem. the only other idea i had was maby too much driveshaft angle causing vibration. i didnt notice any crazy noise while driving but keep in mind i have solid diff mount and no interior or windows so there were all kinds of noise. Anyways what i am trying to find out is what can cause scarring on a driveshaft yolk?
  9. my driveshaft is not perfectly aligned side to side. I know that you can have a up and verticle angle but is horizontal angle bad. basically i mounted my engine in slightly off but not much. what has me concerned is my bushing in the tailshaft of my transmission and the yolk on my driveshaft both have some scarring. i my tranny was used and it could have been bad before i got it but the driveshaft was brand new. i have replaced both and am trying to avoid a repeat pita. what causes this. any ideas.

  13. just trying to find some info i cant seem to dig up. i have a 87 zxt diff i believe it came with 3.7 gears. im looking to find something in the 4.10+ range but dont know if other ring and pinions will fit. anybody out there know where i could round up some gears or what i need to be looking for. thanks

  21. the sr is heavy. lets see this math. im with you johnc. i have a allmost finished my sr swapped 240z and did notice the engines have very close weights. the sr is not light even though youd think it should be. the sr looks better though. If i were to do it again id do l28t.
