To answer a question above, the RB25 tranny mounts to the RB26 no problem.

Here is a few options. Nissan RB series (20, 25, 26, 30). An RB 30 with a 26 head would be really nice!! Toyota 1JZ (2.5 liter and just as strong as the 2JZ), also the 2JZ (GTE GE). Then there is the 7M-GTE, 7M-GE, 6M-GE and the 5M-GE. The last 2 are not turbo from the factory, but you can turbo them. The 7M turbo kit will fit directly on the 6M. Been there done that! The 6M and the 5M are 2 valve per cylinder though. ERIC.

I wonder when people say that the RB20 and the 25 can not hold much power. There were many people that said the RB26 could not keep up with the 2JZ engines. Mike Ferrara, owner of Drag Sport Magazine has made 760 HP to the wheels in his R33 Skyline. The RB26DETT in his car is untouched. Of course he has upgraded APEXi turbos and a monster fuel system. I am curious to see just how much HP the RB20 can handle before flying apart. I think that with proper tuning they can get more than expected. Just like the Buick LC2 engine. With more precise tuning and parts, folks are putting the stock block in the 9s with repeated reliability. ERIC.

Not quite. The non turbo engine that is in the 240sx is the ka24de or the ka24e. The non turbo version of the sr20det, aptly named the sr20de, is in the 200sx. Not sure if it only in the SERs though. ERIC.

Another alternative that I have seen is the 6MGTE. My friend put one in a MKII Supra. Originally they put a 7M in it, but kept blowing head gaskets. The 6M has yet to blow a head gasket. ERIC.
