Davyz im about ready to start messing with the stock fuel tank and I was reading in a different thread that you can modify it to where its not sticking down 6 inches past the roll pan. how do you do something like that? Have any pics? thank Joe

whoa... thanks davyz. that means alot coming from a guy that does as good of work as you! I know i should have posted it on the members project forum, but I did it before i knew this forum even had such a thing. Well, my boom truck driver left for a week so i havent been doing any work since, which equals long nights on the car and heres some thing i have done.

I will be putting bondo flush with the top of the outer rings so it all looks smooth when you look at the lights.

well, if your talking about the 240g kl series, I don't think in my opinion that it would look good. looks a little to retro for the car, but at least you can forward to future plans on your tail lights, haha. Also, with my set-up the tailights will be frenched making it look like theres a little more going on, which i think that you might like.

i've got some flatbar today so i will try and finish the lights up tonight.

Okay, so this is the panel i made for the back of the car... I still have some future plans for it, but this is a rough draft. In the last pic you will see that i put the lights in, buts thats not how is gonna be. I will put in a 1 1/4 flat bar in the I.D. so the lights will be recessed back.

I don't really like to the whole ricer rims. I like muscle cars and what better rims to put on than cragars?

has anyone ever seen cragar ss on a 280z before? Anyway, what do you guys think?

Also im fabing up a plate to take the place on the plastic panel in the rear. I bought four l.e.d light and im trying to make the corvette style look in the back. I should have some more pics soon.

Okay guys i think the moral of the story is... run the stock set-up. I guess i just read somewhere on here, that the stock injector are junk and so i was looking to replace them. Thanks guys so much for your answers. it really helped me out. I would be far behind if it weren't for this forum.

I would like to know what kind of injectors and fuel rail size/style I should purchase for my z. I've read on this forum all kinds of different set-up people run, but for a beginner like me its hard to understand what I should run for good fuel economy and performance. Not to mention every thread i've looked up in relation with this subject, most have turbos and mine does not. If you guy's can give me any avdise other than the "SEARCH" response that would be great. I've done enough searching and all it gets me is confusion. Thank you for you help. 1977 280Z na N42 block and head aftermarket exhaust, cold airintake and headers( if it matters) I rebuilt the motor completely stock with bored 20 over piston.

Yes nigel you did...that was the second question you asked me and you answered it, but originally i thought it was the stock damper on the motor, but i was proved to be wrong by you and these other guys... I don't know how i post two threads of the same question, but i did and people started to respond to this thread and i forgot there was another one with all the awnsers on it. thanks nigel, didn't mean to make you think your opinion ment nothing.
