It wouldn't start because the fuel pump wouldn't wind up. however i took it out and wired power and a ground to my battery and it worked. So i check the leads to the fuel pump and I have a power supply to the wire lead and a ground? What's the deal? Why won't it turn over with the stock wiring? Thanks guys, Joe. Idea's?

So, after three year in the making I finally crank the motor over!! It didn't start and I had to stop, because it's valentines day and i don't think that my wife would appreciate it if I was out there all night. however just the fact that it was cranking over made me really happy! I've got all the vacuum lines routed solely on reading and research. However, there is one vacuum line thats not very talked about or even easy to see in pictures. So, if i could get a little conformation on this set up, that would be great. The thermal vacuum that sit underneath the air regulator, looks to have two lines coming out of it. One that splits on the heater hose neck and the other that I presume runs into the thermostat neck. Is this the correct routing? Also, why is it there and what does it do? I see no reason to have it on my car, other than the fact that some how it pulls a vacuum from the throttle body. If someone can explain the "thermal vacuum that would be GREAT! Thanks for you time, Joe.

Thats the same guy who ripped me off 2 years ago on a pair of dodge ram 1500 headlights! I was just reading along until I seen the company and screen name. It automatically jogged my memory. Said to see that he's still doing it and that its been done to people for at least the last two year...

No...they just made me wash it out a few times with water. I pretty sure that didn't help at all seeing how i could still smell gas, but whatever made them happy! I have a question, what is that thing inside the fuel tank? Whatever it is, do you think i ruined it during the powder coating process?

I have been working full time job since i was 15, while continuing homeschool. Well, needless to say by the time I was 18, I had a pretty good grasp at construction. So, I went to help out a family friend building is home and in return he gave me the 77' 280z. I've wanted to restore a car since I was 14 and its wasn't exactly the car of chose. My mindset at that time was a rather learn how to restore a car on a 280z than a camaro...Thats is until i found out just was kinda' car I was blessed with. I am now 21 and 3 year in the making, my car is almost done. I can't wait.

So I have an 77' 280z with a N42 block, head, and intake manifold...Does this vacuum and emission lines look properly routed? Thanks, Joe.

When you tear apart your car to restore it and want to get everything all painted up and pretty, its quite expensive to have done at a shop... My solution? buy a powder coating gun and a pint of powder(like $6) from eastbay. Use a heatgun or used oven to melt the paint. However, if your gonna' go the heatgun route, just plan for along day. I think a pint can do just about the whole underneath of a z -
Whats the deal with the 1972 nissan laurel ht 2000 sgx? Did that car ever fall into production? I've only seen models of the car.
