  1. I'm looking for any and all info reguarding V6 build-ups, web sites are prefered but anything would be appreciated. I've ordered the Chevy Power Manual(local dealer didn't have it in stock) Thank's for the E-mail Scott, I'm looking for a 4.3 assembly now, 87-91 seems to be the best years block wise. I can't seem to find much in the way of intake manifolds though, exhaust headers will come from Sanderson, camshaft choices seem limited also, any sugguestions? Thanks Mark ------------------
  2. Hey SpencZ, Here's an idea, stay with you're 383 stroker motor, then to be different look at a company named Dominion Performance, they make a FOUR-valve per cylinder head that uses most aftermarket intakes and headers. I first read about this company in a HotRod mag book on cylinder heads... ------------------
  3. Ok Scott, after much research, I've decided to go with chevy 4.3 with a ATI blow thru like yours! If you can provide me with what you've done and the parts you've used, I would be greatful! My ride is a 72 Z and I'm currently in the process of upgrading the rearend with a R200 with 3.36 gears! I want to go 5 or 6 speed haven't decided yet and upgrading the suspension with urethane bushing, progressive rate springs, struts and sway bars. I've ordered the JTR manual for tips( I need to strenghten the chassis ) and want to upgrade to brakes all around. Thanks for all the helpful info! ------------------
  4. This is a flash player download so it may take awhile, www.bmwusa.com/z/z8/z8main.html ------------------
  5. I came across this while surfin the web last night, check it out! www.renegadehybrids.com/944info.htm ------------------
  6. Hey John, Thanks again for all the helpful advise! I'm still undesided about which V6 I'm going to run both chevy and buick have pro's and con's, though I would like to be different. Supercharging will be the great equalizer for me and since my ride is a 72 240Z I won't have to be bothered with smog in my state. Fuel injection would be nice but I may have to go the carburated way. Keep up the good work and thanks again! ------------------
  7. For those wanting to build bullet proof Buick V6's checkout this link www.gmperformanceparts.com/BV6INDEX.htm ------------------
  8. Has anyone considered the using the IRS that the lastest Ford Cobra-R uses? I've heard it's plenty strong and offers good gear selections! ------------------
  9. Yes John, Doesn't the Chevy 4.3 use the same engine mounts and locations? ------------------
  10. Hey John, Thanks for the quick reply! I know modern Turbo's make BIG power and I hope I didn't offend Scottie-GNZ by my preference of Supercharger vs Turbo but I'm afraid that a Turbo would be a complicated way to go with all the plumbing and wiring, not to mention the ECM and FI. I just wouldn't know what the hell I'd be doin! I would prefer some form of FI over carburation, something like Holly's Pro Jection Di with a blow thru like yours. That I believe I could setup and tune. I still want to go V6, Chevy or Buick. Both platforms can be bullit proof. thanks again Mark ------------------
  11. Hey John! The supercharger you use does it force the boost thru the carb? It looks like an ATI Procharger is it? How do you like it? How loud is the blower whine? Also for anyone interested in GM Performance Parts for Chevy V8 or V6's and even Buick V6's go to www.gmperformanceparts.com/GMPPTOC.htm This site shows part numbers and prices. Thanks for the Warm Welcome! Mark ------------------
