  1. My 77 280Z has a 5 lug hub with 5x114.3 pattern. The conversion keeps the same geometry for wheels as a stock setup except for bigger bore needed on wheel (at least 72mm) and 5 lugs instead of 4 lugs. It is a techno toys tuning setup that includes brakes. I have large Wilwood brake calipers on the front that require 7/8'' of clearance and caliper height is 6 3/4''. In other words, most wheels that fit a stock S30 would fit my setup if the wheels are 5 lug instead of 4 lug and I removed my brake calipers. Can anyone recommend low cost wheels for the front?
  2. Has anyone removed the starter after the installation of these headers? If yes what starter do you have. I have a Duralast starter part number DL9717S. I put the starter on before installation of headers. It is tight.
  3. RebekahsZ, what lower rubber shift boot did you end up using? 93-02 Camaro/TA T56 (http://www.tacreationsusa.com/images/Transmissions/Shiftboots/6spdlowerboot.jpg), 1979-04 Ford Mustang or something else?
  4. Thank you Domzs! Those pics enabled me to do an image search and find http://forums.hybridz.org/topic/108435-ls1-subtle-z/
  5. You have seen the car in this post http://forums.hybridz.org/topic/109917-gravityflyers-77-280z-v8/page-2. This is where I first saw it. The poster, gravityflyer, explains that he does not know where he found the pic. That is when I did some digging but could not find the owner
  6. The eBay listing is almost a year old; therefore, it is no longer available
  7. I'm attempting to track down the current or previous owner of a 1977 280Z which is mentioned in this blog post: http://carticular.blogspot.com/2012/09/ebay-find-77-280z-ls1-swap.html The car was once for sale in Gretna, LA and listed on eBay in September 2012. Any help appreciated!
  8. The GM LS2 starter for a 2005 Corvette GM part number 89017664 (also AC Delco 323-162) will not clear the headers. The Duralast starter part number DL9717S will clear headers. The two mounting bolts are GM part number 11610787
  9. I bought a Dorman 65221 Engine Oil Drain Plug for $6. The $20 Speedway Motors LS Low Oil Level Sensor Plug (Item # 481202) was out of stock
  10. Rick, You mentioned custom shroud work for your Arizona Z radiator. Can you share the specs and diagrams? Can you also provide the fan model and part number?
  11. @Zfan1 I believe it is both a temp sensor and oil level sensor. Glad to hear you have your issues resolved.
  12. I attempted a Quick Time bellhousing install on my LS3 and T56 transmission. The Quick Time bellhousing is too big for the headers. It will not fit between the headers. The stock GM bellhousing works fine. I plan to use the GM housing. Out of curiosity, has anyone tried the McLeod bell housing with these headers and a T56 trans?
  13. I'm in the middle of my LS3 conversion. I have the headers installed for fitment. The passenger side headers are block the oil temperature sensor on the F body oil pan. Here is a link to the oil pan: http://texas-speed.com/p-1588-gm-oil-pan-kit-98-02-ls1-f-body.aspx Anyone encounter this problem? I would consider different oil pan with different oil temp sensor placement. Not sure which pan would work. I will ask the member in the LS1 forum for advise but hope someone already has the solution here
