  1. Those mull videos are what got me here to begin with! Damn you mull! Or thank you!
  2. ...you need to take a welding class to make your daily driver daily driveable.
  3. PM sent. Interested in a set for a '72.
  4. You welds are steadily improving through the pics, particularly 2,3,4 and 6 in the last pic. There are a lot of factors affecting the bead, so read a little and practice more. Miller and Hobart have good resources on their site: http://www.millerwelds.com/resources/improving-your-skills/mig/ http://www.hobartwelders.com/elearning/
  5. I'm sure they can, it will likely hurt. A lot. You should be able to source it locally, you can try to locate an Australian Tremec dealer through http://www.ttcautomotive.com/English/aftermarket/distributor.asp If you want to lower your cost, the T56 Magnum can also be found in OEM applications as the TR6060 in the latest V8 Camaro and in the Corvette, but with a different tailhousing. I'm curious to know how you are mating this to the L28.
  6. There is also the T56 Magnum, which Tremec rates at 700 lb/ft. D&D Performance sells them outright at $2.9k shipped, which might be a good alternative, if you don't already have a core to get rebuilt. Getting the bellhousing/adapter plates will probably be your biggest issue.
  7. Just wanted to let anyone interested know that Ross responded to me today (3/2/11) stating that hubs are being machined and are 3 weeks away.
  8. I've been reading about 5 lug conversions and Modern Motorsports' 5 lug Cobra hubs are exactly what I'm looking for. Unfortunately, Ross doesn't want to respond to mails so I can't buy anything from him. Does anyone else sell/machine 5x4.5 lug pattern, zero offset hubs and Cobra caliper brackets? I don't want the ArizonaZ Wilwood kit, I'd prefer something I can get parts from a local NAPA, etc.
  9. Still interested, and the timeframe works for me. I'm hoping to add a moderate cam to my LS3, so I was really hoping to get the larger 1 7/8" primaries. Is it a fitment the reason to go 1 3/4"? Keep the updates coming!
  10. Definitely interested in headers with 1 7/8" primaries and 3" outlet. Looking forward to seeing detailed fitment pictures!
  11. After a week of calling with no success and no email response, I think I know who's engine mounts I'm not going with. Shame, if they could have sent better photos or answered phone/email they might have gotten a few customers here.
  12. I don't know how far forward the engine is actually mounted, so I hadn't thought about this. I tried calling and sent mail to see if I can get pictures of the transmission and better shots of the engine bay.
  13. No, not at all underpowered. I was just wondering if anyone has used it, and also getting opinions on it. I'd also rather have the handling benefits of moving the engine back. I only know what the install instructions show and it looks like it does put the engine further forward, but on the other hand if it was similar in placement to the JCI kit and also let me run long tubes, then it would be a good option. In any case, as Cable pointed out, the headers are "still in development".
  14. Does anyone have experience with the BRP LS motor mount from BRP Hot Rods? Here's a link. I read about BRP at LS1Tech, but search didn't show anything here. They claim to have 2" stepped long tube headers that will work with their mount, so it sounds promising. From looking at the pictures, it looks like BRP places the engine slightly further forward than the JCI kit. What do you think? Please chime in with your opinion, since I plan to use this (or the JCI kit) on my 240.
