  1. Anyone using the 700cc injectors and had trouble fitting these to the fuel rail? I understood these to be drop in but apparently my mechanic is having trouble getting these to fit. Thanks for any input you have.
  2. looks great Joel - well done on a sharp looking ride after many years of hard work!
  3. woohoo - Thanks Raff! I'll post up where I manage to get a hold of these parts so that others in the future will be able to find them as well.
  4. Yep that's the one. Thanks Stony - I forgot about Matt still being in Japan (i thought he was moving back to the States for some reason). I'll give him a shout.
  5. Does anyone have one of these they would like to sell or if you know of a source I would appreciate it if you let me know. Thanks Matt p/n is 13021
  6. I just bought this Greddy/GREX piece from RHDjapan.com. Nice thing about it is that it has an internal thermostat to keep oil from flowing to the cooler when unecessary and two ports for aftermarket gauges (pressure/temp). http://www.rhdjapan.com/jdm-low/TRUST-0-C-Oil-Block-E-G-Type-E-60mm-51270# http://www.trust-power.com/04cooling/images/cooler_st.gif
  7. Myron (EMWHYROHEN) Could you comment on any issues you've had with these wheels in the last couple of months? I know you said you trimmed the valence (but aren't you running an airdam?) and maybe trimmed the fender as well. Does adding the ZG flares provide that extra bit of clearence needed? Thanks Matt
  8. Thanks Raff. I'll check it out but they may not make it in the 3/4x16 thread our engines need. The reason for going with one of the higher end filters, like Canton, is the full flow, no bypass aspect, so all the oil is filtered all of the time. However the replacement cartridges are about $15 which is the same price as the full flow Amsoil filters (which supposedly also have a good rep).
  9. Not cheap but good filtration level (8 micron) and high flow rate. I'll use one of these with my oil cooler setup. I'll post pics in the next couple of weeks. http://www.cantonracingproducts.com/cgi-bin/commerce.cgi?search=action&category=2501
  10. I've run a 3.7 r200 for a while with my RB26 swap. It is mainly street use with some track days. I found for track use that the ratio was too low and that (on my particular track at least) I was largely in 2nd/3rd gear the entire time. On the street it was basically fine and on the freeway I found that I was turning about 3000 rpms at 70mph. I believe the RB25det trans is paired with a 4.08 (or 4.11?) ratio in the stock GTS-t skylines. Given the 240z is much lighter going that far back up in ratio may not be necessary but acceleration would probably be improved. However since you already have the diff I would suggest trying it. I just spoke with Gabe at TechnoToyTuning and he has a diff mount package ($450, for mustache and front diff mount) that will work for our cars with the short nose R200. I do have an extra 3.9 longnose and a 240sx short nose (4.08) that I am going to try in the next few months to see how much it changes things.
  11. good q - I ran the volt/fuel gauge into the glove box.
  12. The stock gauge faces are very close to 4" in diameter. I think the 5" diameter you refer to relate to the Autometer gauges most people run instead. Look for some pictures in other user's albums and you can see the Autometer tach/speedo sits nearly flush with the top of the gauge pod(eg closer to the steering wheel), whereas the ones I'm using can set down inside the pod like the stock stuff. I used a dense weather strip foam as a spacer around the outside of the Speedhut gauges and then modified the back of the stock metal gauge pods to run the wires. I think they came out reasonably good, but not perfect as you can see in the close ups. I wanted to run Defi all around but they only make a tach in the 4" and so it was nice to see that Speedhut had a similar look to match these up. I am also running a Greddy boost gauge, so in the end nothing matches exactly.
  13. unfortunately they aren't fully wired up yet. It will be a few months before I'm finished but I will make sure to post up night pics with the gauges illuminated. Hopefully you can wait a bit. Looks like you are doing a RB swap as well - good luck.
  14. Folks Here are a few photos of the new gauge combo I put in my 240z. Still haven't gotten the wiring finished, nor the engine rebuilt, but with luck these will serve the purpose well. 15. Folks, Just got a set of the 17x9, 17x9.5 RBs and wanted to share a few views I don't think others have posted included the tuner lugs that Rota provides. Also is a comparison of my existing 16x7 Panasports with these new wheels. The additional 1-1.5" inch lip on the new wheels looks pretty sharp.
